I watch his comedy because he's super funny. Parts of this clip was also funny. He's a brilliant comic. And I think he should be able to make a come back. But he's implying here that all the women said yes to him when he asked when, in fact, among the five accusers only one (the anonymous person) said yes to his repeated request. He did not ask for consent in the four other accounts that's been made public. I don't think what he did was super evil or tantamount to rape. But I've seen so many comments saying he did nothing wrong. Come on. He did SOMETHING wrong. Why should he attack his accusers? He apologized. It's a bit disappointing that he's not taking full responsibility here. He didn't always ask or got their consent; yet, he's just emphasizing how a woman's "yes" might mean "no," when most women who came forward didn't even say yes to him.
@MathasarSalazar23 жыл бұрын
@@obad7633 ...what?
@mjmoss99903 жыл бұрын
@J B The two in the hotel said they laughed it off but didn't consent. Even if they laughingly said yes, that's not a real consent if they thought it was a joke. If I asked my friend if I could take away his baby son because he's so cute and the friend laughed and said yes please, does that immediately give me the right to take the kid? The two women must have been shocked when after they laughed it off (whether they said yes or not) he immediately took his clothes off. That's not what a normal conversation between people used to sarcasm would lead to. What's even worse is that these two women were pressured not to talk about it because he was (yes, he was then) in a position of power. Also, I don't know what you mean by "it's a different matter on the phone." Do you have any idea how creepy that is?

I think that once comedians reach a certain tier, they just kinda slowly fade away. Once they're rich as fuck, their life experience changes and their comedy kinda simmers. That is, unless they've got something driving them to keep creating. Carlin had tax problems so he had to work. Dangerfield actually quit for like 10-15 years or something (but kept writing material) before he ever even made it. There's guys like Chris rock or Eddie Murphy who don't really make us laugh anymore because they never fucked up. Seinfeld too (tho he's been getting much better recently. Not sure why) Carlin, CK, Chappelle: they all went through shit that resulted in huge financial loss/public humiliation, and I think it actually helped or is helping their later careers. Louie's last special before Sincerely was kinda not very good imo. This one is way better. Hope he keeps crankin em out

Crazy how Louie knew he was on the way down but just didn't know how. On O&A when the boys were praising him on his success he commented that it was temporary. Just like one of his episodes things go good then it turns to shit, just like him losing millions. Way a go Louie.

The boys sure know a thing or two about being on the way down nowadays.
