I was fortunate enough that my bun loved me from first time he had seen me. The first day he flopped next to my legs. Not that he's really social, he's pretty much used only to my husband and me. But even after 4 years we still struggle to pick him up, when I have to cut bun's nails then the only options are tricking him into the bathroom with treats or picking him up while he's napping. So even if your rabbit is comfortable with you they might still not like being held and that's okay. I don't like if someone holds me too.

What I do with my boy when I need to clip his nails, is I get a bowl and mix treats with hay. He’s very, VERY fidgety when it comes to nail clipping but it’s gotten to the point where I can clip his front paws if he has treats to distract him and he now tolerated it. Getting him okay with having his back feet clipped is a whole ‘nother story tho! 😂😂❤

This has been most helpful. I recently rescued a rabbit who has spent most her life in a shelter and she is very stand offish to me. I let her smell me and if she turns away I leave her alone. Lately she has been nudging my hand when I get her treats and today she ate out of my hand. Something she has never done before. Baby steps and this helped with things I didn't understand about rabbits. Thank you for the helpful tips!

i have had 16 rabbits over the last 35+ years. They were all with me from 8 weeks to 6 months old until they passed as very old happy rabbits. I find your tips very accurate and you have an engaging personality unlike others that want to judge what is done without knowing the individual rabbit. All rabbits are different just like people, they all have their own distinct personalities. Thank you for educating people correctly on how to have free roaming rabbits. Currently i have 2 rabbits that I can pet even in their blind spots and they beg for it. My oldest 6 1/2 year old bunny guards my bedroom door at night and almost attacked my youngest son when he still lived at home. It was very funny as Chilly started to turn and run when my son entered the room but then turned around and for the first time he growled , lol at my son. My son immediately said Chilly it's just me then Chilly let him pet him. They treated each other like brothers and Chilly trust him like a brother but Chilly is my guard dog, it's so funny to witness. Again Thank You for the appropriate training on how to handle your rabbit to start out.

The bond I share with my rabbit is unlike any other bond I’ve shared with an animal. He is my first love and my whole world, and the best thing about it is that other people can see how close we are. He follows me everywhere, binkies and head tosses when he sees me (sometimes) and comes running up to me. He also LOVES sitting on my shoulder, so our vets call him a parrot bunny and joke that he’s actually related to parrots 😂 I had to take him to the vets for a health check last week and the vet said she could see how much he trusts me because he was very happy on my shoulder ❤

When we want to pet our bunnies, we always stick our hand out slowly for them to see and let them sniff it first. They always let us know if they’re ready for pets. They either nudge their head under our hand or they turn away. If they turn away, we don’t force it. Good video!

My bunbun Kiwi, that i got around 10 days ago, is kinda "naive" in a way. Everything that you see on the internet about bunnies taking time to trust you, is not really her (not to say that the facts are wrong, its just that every bunny is different!). When i first met her i layed on the floor and kinda just waited for her to climb on me or come to me on her own. From that point on, I would say we formed a bond. Every time I let her out of her cage she runs up to me and jumps on my lap. Im really thankful for her.

The content is exquisite as always. I don’t know if you do this on purpose or it’s simply how you naturally speak, but there’s something audibly pleasing about the sharp click when you pronounce anything with a T on the end of the word. It just adds to the high quality vibe of your videos, from your personal aesthetic to the editing to the queen herself, Her Majesty Cinnabun. 👑 I would love to do this idea for Guinea pigs, because when you said “my rabbit wants nothing to do with me [‘I’m here to help’]” I couldn’t help but laugh because I have 3/4 Guinea pigs who want nothing to do with me but still want my attention at all times, especially when I step into my kitchen. Once again, but as I say for the first time in 2023, I say thank you for being a wonderful Bunny Guardian to Cinnabun. Give the Queen a good nose rub for me!

My partner and I have adopted a bunny with a bone structure mutation caused by biological experiments aimed at making these adorable animals 'cuter' and smaller. It has been a tough time for us as we try to understand how to care for her. We also have two rescued cats. We are good parents to our animals, but having a bunny is particularly challenging-especially when your pet has a physical disability. Thank you for your tips. ❤ P.S. We considered having surgery, but we truly didn't want to add more stress to our bunny's life. We've done everything possible to create an accessible environment for her.

We just got two bunnies from a pet store in a mall, not the best spot, i must say, but they are pretty happy here from what I’ve seen. We already have a golden retriever, so we didn’t know how they would get along, but it has been good so far. Our bunnies have two different personalities. Oreo is our fearless one. She will climb on you like a jungle gym. But I’m trying to get Stormy, our more antisocial bunny to come to us. We got them a huge home, and even a front yard to play in, and they are getting more social as time goes on. This really helped. Thank you!

They are the reason I'm subscribed!😁I finally got my rabbit out of a cage and into a playpen bc I learned that cages aren't good from Lorelei and Lennon and altogether my rabbit has a pretty good life even tho I sadly cannot do the freeroam lifestyle. These days I was in a bad position with my bunny. It's been 1 week since she was spayed and she want to know nothing about me. I was watching your videos these days and I was soooo sad because I don't have a bond with her anymore after being spayed. She was like a different bunny. So agressive and sassy. She always was doing whatever she wanted about the spots she was forbidden to go haha but since being spayed she was much worse. So all being said...i did a thing TODAY....treats...buying some treats. I have her heart now...She's like she have been before...I don't know what I did haha (I was giving her treats before too but I am a new bunny mom and I needed a little bit of researching). So I want to thank you a lotttt, Cinnabun Mom :) You have my heart for this!

I'm happy that I did great from the beginning with my baby. Found in the street, she was about 6 months. So I was scared she would not trust me as if I had her since she's a baby. As we were getting to know each other, I sat on the floor for days, just doing my things and didn't pay too much attention to her. She was to one who came by me, waiting for me to pet her. And now, I don't have any kisses from her, but she knows if she lays her head to me, she'll have cheeks scratches and she loooooves that. I only pick her up when it's necessary. She let me take her but she's very uncomfortable. I'm not sure she loves me, but at least, I'm her food and cuddle slave. 😂 I love her and her cat temper anyway ❤️

If he doesn’t want to be picked up he’ll move about a feet when I tell him, and I wont. Didn’t take long for us to learn that, and he accepts being picked up about 6/10 times.

And after months she passed away due to old age and sickness . She loved my mom more than me and after her death mom was badly affected , and when she passed away my dad had business loss for a long time to which I believed while she was there , we had luck with us . and on 2022I had my first tattoo and it was she whom I got tattooed . I got 2 adopted bunnies that was pretty well trained by their previous owner, even had a bunny bed that the female bunny had fun ripping the stuffing out of some days ago, which I didn't pay much mind too. Then I watched your video and learned that the poke was asking for attention and not "your're in my way" .. well, it might be both .. heh. Shortly after watching, the white more sosial of the two bunnies then came to me and did the poke, so instead of just moving my feet away, I got down to give him a treat since we have still not bonded completely after the old owners, but this time we would not take the treat, which was odd, so I had a closer look, his face was bigger then usual, no .. his mouth was so full of teddy stuffing from the bed and he was blocked from eating .. he actually came asking for help .. I got all of it out and the rest went into the bin right after. That gave me quite the scare, and I'm unsure if I would have noticed it that fast if it wasn't for this video~
