Testing My Rabbit's Intelligence

Rabbits are really good at object permanence. You can cover something with a large box and a rabbit will go to the right corner. Even covering the box with food scent will not fool them. Pointing to something is something very few animals understand, rabbits understand. My rabbit taught herself how to open a drawer, pull lever, grab a knob of a cover of dog puzzles. She learned them all on the first try. The lid of the oat groat has the threads, the oat Grote's get caught in them. The rabbit picks up the lid, tilts it, so they slide out. I am continually amazed by her intelligence. She also has a good sense of time. She notices right away if something in the house has been moved. Will go right up to, what's been moved. When my wife goes away, she gets mad as hell.She will stand on her hind legs to see if my wife is in bed. Smarter than cats and on par with dogs.

Me as a rabbit owner, I love rabbits and I have a rabbit and I don’t take my rabbit out a ton and my parents won’t let me free roam my rabbit, but we have dogs. I don’t get to be with my rabbit because school but I love my rabbit. He is a very sassy one, before I got my rabbit I would watch you and it just inspired me to do stuff to bond. I really enjoy cinnabun and you! I don’t know how to show all of my love for you and cinnabun. But I am in R-H for rabbits and won top 4 for looks. One of my bunnies years ago was very intelligent, loving, and was not a pet, but was a family member. She could problem solve. I was eating an Oreo cookie, and she climbed up chairs onto the table and faced me. She didn't beg for the cookie, but instead grabbed my shirt sleeve with her teeth and pulled my arm down with the cookie in my hand and helped herself to the Oreo.

This was so interesting. The story I tell again and again about rabbits intelligence is how my rabbits, back as we were still pretty unknowing about rabbits and kept them in a big cage when we could not watch over them, learned to open the lock of their cage on their own.

Absolutely bunnies are smart. I leave out puzzles feeders designed for dog for my rabbits to play with when I go out to work. They work them out no problem.

I’ve wanted a bunny since third grade. But obviously I wasn’t responsible enough to get one. So I got the classic cream build-a-bear bunny. Now, in seventh going into eighth grade, I really want one again. And I want a bun that looks just like Cinnabun. So Cinnabun looks just like the build-a-bear I got… 😌

Love this! My bun and I play hide and seek and it's her favorite game🥰 She will wait for me to go hide, then race around the house and find me. Then we switch and she goes and hides😂 It's so great to show how intelligent rabbits really are- and they love challenges too! I loves when Cinnabun yanked out each stacking bowl to make sure to check each one for the treat! Smart little cookie lol

Cinnabun may have grabbed the smallest treat because it was easiest to put in her mouth. My bun often has to manuever food shapes into his mouth. Chunks of dill he takes a bite and drops on the ground. He can however, take a large piece of romaine.

I loved this video! A part 2 would be great. Maybe the 3 sized chew sticks could be done where they were at a 90° angle to the previous test, where the middle one is directly in front of her and the shortest to the left of that and the longest to the right. If its a 'fail' she will grab the closest one (dead centre, middle size piece). I feel this needs confirmation, right? She's pretty smart.

I have a bunny named Belle that I adopted a few months ago. I let her stay indoors for a while, but as she was always biting at the furniture, my mother and I decided to put her only in the backyard. How can you keep your rabbit indoors without it destroying the furniture? Is there any training for this? Does castration solve it?

Hey I am having trouble with my bunny and I was wounding if you had any ideas. My bunny have used a litter box for her entire life and all of the sudden she won’t us it. I did not change anything diet or spot or anything so I am just confused. I read online it means they might need a bigger litter box if they are doing that but it’s not working. I have 2 boy bunnies. They can be bonded just takes a bit more work. First off they bonded ok in about 3 weeks & were friends for a few months & them one evening I got home with fluff everywhere, the bond was broken so had to have one bunny live in the spare bathroom for 4 months before I managed to get them to rebond. The balance shifted & the new bunny was the boss. Be careful when doing treats & pats always give treats at same time & to the dominant bun first, same with pats. If the bunnies are bonded to u too they will get jealous of u giving the non dominant one attention first. Hope this helps.
