Spot on, sir. When the Amazing Grace is no longer amazing, we have lost our love for God and only have religion, which is dry and tedious. Reading God's word not only teaches us, it refreshes us, motivates us, makes us long for His presence to be real and tangible in our life and our Church. I, too, confess that I need to seek His face more. God bless all of those that serve our Lord. God bless Sinclair Ferguson.

I don't know Dr. Ferguson personally. I haven't been to attend conferences like this. I haven't been to Orlando, Florida. I came only to know him (as well as other speakers in Ligonier Ministries conferences like R.C. Sproul, Steve Lawson, John Macarthur, Robert Godfrey et al) by listening to video posted on You-tube for several years now. But I believe that Dr. Feguson is a man of God. What a beautiful message he delivered in this sermon.
While listing to the teaching of the Word it bring tears to my heart towards our churches today we need help from God.God help us!

Agree with Johnny Miller... Spot on. I, like harpels know only of Brother Ferguson through his books, articles, and videos. Be that as it may... If I don't have the chance to meet him while here on the earth; I look forward to letting him know in Heaven of how much he has helped me in my walk with Jesus Christ our Lord and King. I always pray the Lord will give him the strength to continue to minister to those of us that need the help.

Ferguson quotes Martyn Lloyd Jones: "How do you know whether a man is a Christian? The answer is that his mouth is 'shut!'" I am guilty of talking too much rather than listening and repenting as Jesus instructs. It seems that many of us have abandoned our love for God's Word and for Christ to rally round political power and advantage. May repentance become our first step away from that trend and return to our first love, Jesus.

He is right on. We must be dependent on the Lord Jesus.prayer will determine wheter we are dependent on Him or not.do we love Him. We love Him cause He first loved us.when ever leaders our more concerned about the. Pleasing their congregation. More then fearing God we will eventually be in hot water with God.

What a challenge for each of us, who follow Jesus Christ. A challenge for every church who claims the gospel according to the inerrant Bible. I would recommend all of his books listed in iTunes and to read the hard copy of his books. They will also challenge your Christian walk with the Lord Jesus Christ!

I really thought he was moving. But why did he say "with works" if he's reformed? Jesus is enough! Works r the fruit of the reformed belive not a required for salvation.
@joeiiiful2 жыл бұрын
Susan: He is very reformed and he is as Orthodox as possible. He doesn't believe in Justification by Faith plus works. He believes as the Bible clearly teaches and the Reformers taught:"It is Faith Alone that justifies, but Faith that justifies can never be alone; we are not saved by faith plus works, but by a faith that works". Faith without works is a dead faith. Good works are done after we are justified as proof of our salvation and love for Jesus Christ. I understand that there is a prevalent heresy that denies the need for good works as necessary, but it is a sad false teaching. Dr. Ferguson believes that and understands it is ultimately the good works (active obedience) of Christ that saves us.

How much prayer is happening. How much Gospel out reach. Is taking place in our Churh. John in many ways is true leader. But with all the avtivitie at masters college. A church that size should reach everyone in La in 10vyears. I wonder if anyone knows Grace comunity church.ephesus was your picture perfect conservative Assembly. Yet they walked away from their 1st love. Do we Love Him. Do we walk with Him.
