I'm really enjoying your reactions! One suggestion would be, at least with Dimash, to play the video until the end. You are missing out on a pivotal reason why Dears love him -- his personality, his humility, and his graciousness. The answer to this is integrity and seeing someone listening what is happening NOW ... NOT ignoring the now to go "can't wait for when he goes up.... Or he's going to do this or that in a minute" The piece of music IS as it is in that second.... Not what it will be. The same as Dimash is when he is singing. A standard keyboard represents 7 octaves. If, and I believe I have heard Dimash’s D8, that would be the next “D” note beyond the standard keyboard. Dimash is a true unicorn. His performance skills, vocal agility, stage presence, technique and showmanship are truly exceptional. He’s an all around star. Yes, much of what he does can be learned but I would suggest that very few people would be willing to commit to the intensive work and practice required to achieve it. Cap that off with strong anatomy and interest for someone to recognize the talent in themselves and then develop that gift. Exquisite. Great video sir.

Dimash is a storyteller who uses his entire arsenal (technique, vocal range, body expression, style...) as a resource to involve the audience in the story he presents. This song was sung 25 years ago as a pop song. Dimash was a guest singer and rearranged it to fit the mood because it was dedicated to the lead singer who died many years. That last part was 23 seconds of runs and rifts. I think you would enjoy Dimash. HELLO. OLYMPICO 2021.

👉 In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 millions of viewers over night. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to KZbin... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears. The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. Dimash was never on The Voice. The show was called I Am Singer and seems to be for professional established Chinese singers. They are invited to perform on it and consider it an honour. Dimash was asked as a sort of wild card. The youngest and first non Chinese to be asked, He performed first on the first episode. It was S O S and he got 600 million hits on Wellbo, the Chinese You Tube and came to the notice of people world wide. I saw that performance on you tube and have been obsessed ever since,

I like very much your pretty genuine reactions. This is what we,all Dears, want from a newcomers. We all have been listening to him for a long long time and we will never have enough. At least Me. His voice and his music became my morning and evening mantra. I don’t believe that somebody like him will appear soon. You are right… it is not the question if he is the best singer in the world or not but how much real emotions he is able to produce in our hearts and souls. Never happen to me before. Dimash is extremely versatile. Some of his sides that we already know are still ahead of you. He has songs that he composed himself. He's less likely to write texts himself. But he is mostly involved in creating the songs. This song is from the early days and a cover of a song by the band he performed with. He totally turned it into his song, which he mostly does when he covert songs. But now he makes his own songs much more often, often together with other composers. His goal is to kidnap people into better worlds and to make sure that they are fine. I think he's doing a great job.

For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song (originally this song was sung in two octaves and Dimash takes it to 5 Octaves Vocal range). In addition, he added the final part, with an oriental technique (where he makes a particular sound rapidly vibrating his voice, which is the traditional way of some eastern countries to time their dead, in this case the original singer). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the name of the band is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). Some trivia about this song: It was an original by the band A-Studio (the keyboard player and guitarist are members), also from Kazakhstan, and their now-deceased lead singer is one of DImash's idols - he listens to the singers solo work on his down time. I imagine performing this song was a great privilege for him.

Dimash did come in second in the Singer in China. He won three of the 13 episodes and finished well in many others. I think at the time, the rules would not allow a foreigner to win. But he won the hearts of the Chinese people--he was an instant success after his first episode. His lower range is my favorite--there is just something about his tone quality that gets me. When you get the chance, listen to Dimash's bit of a speech at the end of this piece. It will give you an idea of who he is as a person. He was singing as a sort of guest singer with the band who wrote the piece a number of years ago. He thanks them for their music, and for their contribution to bringing up today's youth in a good musical direction. An estimable yet humble young man.

He attended The Singer in China in 2017 and he was the first foreign singer attending it. He came second only because of blatant favoritism and it was later explained they were not ready to give first spot to a foreign singer. The following year they changed the rules and started allowing foreign winners. Anyway, just for your info, Dimash stopped attending any competitions since 2019. I mean he is literally technically the best singer in the world and is ten times more talented and musically more knowledgeable than any judge, so it was a long overdue decision. Now he only acts as a jury member at competitions, not as a competitor. And since then he has been working on his career and working with great composers like Igor Krutoy who is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement just to compose new music for Dimash (he composed Olimpico, Know, Stranger , I Miss You, Ave Maria all for Dimash). Glad to welcome you as a new Dear. Yes, Dimash is the MASTER of portraying the meaning and emotion behind each song. He draws us in and touches our souls. "Sinful Passion" is one of my favorites, it's just gorgeous. Dimash does have a Master's Degree in music composition and has written a few songs, but this one was written by the group who's accompanying him in the video. They put out a completely different, pop-rock version many years ago. Dimash reworked it into this masterpiece. I have watched a few of your reaction videos, and have a bit of unsolicited advice. You said you were trying to hold back your emotions. I noticed that, but Dears are watching reaction videos because they want to see your full, honest emotional reaction to his performances. Trying to be stoic and holding back your emotion defeats the purpose. Take it from a female...we think the strongest, most attractive men are the ones who display their emotions openly and honestly. A2 to D8 are the key ranges on the piano. One of the links I posted shows him going BEYOND the highest piano key, which is almost impossible to do...but hey, it's Dimash! The gorgeous man can do anything! He even raps in one of his pop songs!

I believe he's a miracle, a gift from the Divine, and in this performance you know that it's the most exquisite treasure we could have received. I have watched many men fall in love with him--straight men, feeling confused , not having a physical component (or possibly it can) and yet in some cases the first onset ot love is ver lke that of romantic love. In some cases it has messed with a man's head for a while, and then, gradually, it becomes altered, becomes more focused on the music, and the confusion becomes acceptance, and it's no longer so stressful. Sometimes a man will tell me something of what's happening, which is why I know that it's a very powerful and UNIQUE experience.And it is not followed with regret.

😂🤣 You couldn't wait? Honestly, I don't know how some people COULD wait, especially months after they've discovered Dimash! When I found him back in 2017, there were only 2 videos on youtube and nothing online! I searched and searched forever, and found only one tiny article from China. It was just a short blog about a boy singing in a Chinese show. That drove me nuts, thinking why is there nothing about him? Even now I get a little crazy that the west is still not aware of Dimash!

A2 to D8 means he covers the entire piano and then some! I have been following him for over 2 1/2 years,And heHas not penned any lyrics that I know of but he has composed several of the songs that he sings. You are correct he lost the first place in the Chinese contest called The Singer by a ridiculous 2,000ths of a point. But he was clearly the viewing audience and the actual audience’s favorite throughout the 14 week competition. He became a star overnight with his first performance on the first night of SOS And needed bodyguards the next day. However, he seems to be able to travel by himself at times without bodyguards i.e. arriving in Beijing China about a week ago. His interpreter showed up because his Chinese is not great. Again, he speaks fluent Kazakh, Russian and is very good at English now. Because his accent is so adorable, we English speakers call his English translations, Dinglish. I cannot think of a song that you will react to when you are not in shock and awe. Don’t worry about sticking to your list because you cannot go wrong with any song that you choose to react to. The dears will not lead you astray.

But he was in the American show called The World’s best. He showed how humble and down earth he is, when he stopped competing because the children were in that competition as well and his condition before he competed was, never wanted to compete with kids.
