Vocal Coach Reaction to Dimash Kudaibergen - Sinful Passion - Ken Tamplin
Dimash is certainly setting the bar VERY high in the world of singing.
After my doing my first "a vocal coach reacts to Dimash" video, I got a TON of requests to do his song "Sinful Passion."
I have got to give this guy 2 thumbs way up!
His technical skills, his passion, his control, his pitch, his rage, his emotion, his ability to go from low chest, through the passaggio into head and even whistle registers, his use of good vowel modifications, his different timbres between registrations, switch from covered operatic vowels and then opening them up to gain range for more contemporary vowels. Just really good stuff.
SOOOO refreshing to hear talent again, rather than another Britney.
Take a listen, I think you will agree.
I look forward to hearing more from Dimash!

Actually, Ken Tampling was the lead singer and guitar player of a famous Christian rock band formed in the 80s (more specifically, gram metal rock) that's why his vocal range. Most of rock singers have spectacular voices, reaching super high notes as well as low notes, falsetto, etc. I'm not much knowledgeable in music or vocals, but most of my knowledge comes from watching Ken.

The finesse. He's wrapped all inside that song. His tone is so rich...his nuance and natural feeling is musically excellent. It's a real painting. You can teach the mechanics of his vocal technique....but you can't teach what Dimash has. Pure instinct and feel that is substantial. His persona is so open and free. No pretense

THAT range in combination with THAT technique and THAT mix of different styles is simply unique. I love him! BTW, yes, he can sing with distortion, I've heard it in two of his performances. However, it were only really small section of those songs. So, yes, he can do it, but I guess he's not that used to it (yet). Would love to hear that more often.

What a lot of reactors miss here due to unfotunate timing of pausing is that last phrase was all carried through in a single breath. The chest, into insane head, dropping into a lengthy melisma all in a single one-breath vocal phrase. I doubt there is a known vocalist alive who could pul that kinda feat off. I hadn't heard of this guy until tonight and now I'm glad I have. It's refreshing to see a young face with such raw talent and ability. The kinda thing doesn't exist in contemporary music nowadays.

Hi Ken....About Dimash....he started taking singing lessons and piano when he was five. He is 24 years old now and if you watch and you should The I am singer show 2017 from China you will be mind blown. Dimash was 22 on this show...The first song w/ be SOS in French...the second is Opera 2 in Russian etc. Dimash plays the drums, the piano and the Dombra ( a Kazakh lute instrument w/ two strings.) He will play this in his song Dadidau. This is a Kazakh song . Dimash was a wild card on the singer show which had only famous singers competing against each other and no one thought he would get through. So happens that he won first place with the first song he sang...SOS. He came in second on the show but, he is known around the world now....over 100 countries. Dimash had a concert in London recently and people from over 40 countries came to see him. I hope you noticed the perplexed look of the keyboard player after Dimash hit that note. I like on the break he does that kind of humm with the flutter. You feel like your suddenly in the Sahara. @9:38, @Ken Tamplin,, With what you said about the music today and how Dimash is killing it... would you agree with us that he is the best vocalist in the world right now?!? And probably for a very long time to come... I truly believe that there isn't anyone who can do what he does at ALL! I've been following him since he was in the Singer competition show in China in 2017... Where he really became known. And I feel so very grateful to have been here for this God-send, this Angel 😇 btw his given name his parents gave him means a gift given from God!!! 💯😉🤙✌️💋💕

He was offered a position with the 5th largest opera house in the world and turned them down. He said he wanted to have fun with music and his voice. Opera, popera, folk, pop, rap, traditional...he puts everything into the mix. How he can go high to low and do all these techniques in them is fantastic. He knows how to use everything he has in this wonderful instrument.

This song is in Russian, composer Igor Krutoy. Read the translation of the lyrics from the song. Such a beautiful meaning 😍 I am glad that I live on this planet at a time when such a singer sings in my language. I do not live in vain. All of our pop variety art does not know how to sing. And Dimash is a singer from God. By the way, you also have a beautiful strong voice!)

Let's just hope Dimash continues to resist all the "oh, if only he'd do this", "he got to stop doing that" pressures that come with "breaking" the US or whatever - I love to hear him mixing it up in his own unique style!😍😍

The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique, is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist! Bright! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷🌷Thank you! E6 is a snack for Dimash. Please react to Unforgettable Day, the one he sang at the Gakku concert in 2017. In this song, which he wrote himself when he was 17 or 19, he threw in a D8, just for the fun of it, and sustained it for 5 seconds.

Dimash is a vocal master! His heart and soul match his angelic voice. There is no other like him in the world right now; he sings in 10 different languages as well as plays seven different instruments. There are amazing singers and humanitarian’s all over the world. At this time no one vocally matches Dimash! Every song tells the most amazing story, even though I don’t speak the language. I feel in my heart and soul thesoul the story he’s conveying. Brilliant!
