Even if that is the case, the archetype will be expanded upon given the fact that the current illusion monsters that fit the search criteria are unrelated to the new one. And diabellestar does have synergy with the Archetype as a searcher for sinful spoil cards. So we can definitely expect to see more regardless.

Nice of them to make a "Anti-Spell Fragrance" monster on legs. That girl gotta be one of the craziest cards I've read in a while. People in the comments are right when they say this will be used with Labrynth. As long as Cycle is set on your turn going first, you can SS Diabellze in their turn and shut down their Evenly. Funny that Diabellze's activated effects will still resolve until they hit the Main Phase; they summoned something on your turn → you can pop that card if you decide to Set a Trap with Stovie/Chandelier on theirs. Truly incredible. This card shuts down Spell/Traps that banish themselves to activate their effect, shuts down Quickplays and forces them to keep their spells/traps as discard fodder or to simply set them. There are stil some effects that place Spells/Traps on the field in face-down so they can activate them.

The card does not shutdown Graveyard effects, if that is what you mean. Card effects in the gy are just effects, you are not activating the actual card.

I think the bounce effect of Sinful Spoils Cycle is supposed to work with the Sinful Spoils quick play spells. For example, you can set Rciela off Diabellestar, bounce it and then use it immediately to break boards going second.

Also Diabellze also turns off Spell/Trap activations in the gy so yeah, this card might be banned since it will turn off too many decks just by being present. Good job konami another floodgate turbo. Also the Traps are abit slow but it works on Lab or other shenanigans they might put the Traps in this release i the future.

She does not prevent spells and traps from activating their graveyard effects. They are considered effect activations rather than card activations. It’s the same reason you can Ash the GY effect of Area Zero after it gets sent by Multirole.

I love the art on these and the concept of how these are intended to play but... I really feel like at this point there needs to be a ruling change the way Pends work so they arent affected by cards like this. The idea of forcing players to set cards into her effect sounds like fun even if these cards aren't good but her just being a searchable way to just completely shut down an entire type of deck just feels bleak. I dont even like pendulum as a mechanic but its just sad at this point watching the way konami treats the typing lol

@@Renegade77784 You are waaay overselling her. The Trap application affects like 3 cards total, one of which is Feather Storm which you won't see much of anyways. Also, Anti Spell stops normal spells AND locks Spells and Traps for an entire turn cycle instead of just forcing then inherent restrictions on Quickplays and Traps like Diabellze does. She beats decks that heavily rely on quickplays but beyond that she's pretty terrible.

Konami will monitor its success and popularity in the OCG and then they will put the rarity accordingly. So if it becomes meta, yes, the monster is most-likely going to be a SCR card.

Original sin reads absolutely busted wtf If I read it correctly, then doesn't it also means cards *in the GY* cannot activate unless they were first set? For example, the banish effects of spell/traps. It doesn't work quite like anti-spell fragrance. Other comments seem to be missing that you can activate normal spells the turn they are set. If their is a consistent way to get out both Original sins and DPE, that would be insane control I don't think any decks could counter
