Heavier voices are usually more powerful while lighter ones are naturally more agile! Tori here came through with resonance...And chose elegant runs to justify the song. Jhud came through with the dramatic delivery! It was a perfect blend. Both of them showed restrain...Although my fav rendition of this song is by Tori on Ellen it's divine. But this is a close second for sure! The blend js pure heaven!

I love that, even though Jennifer has the more powerful voice, she does not try to out diva Tori. It seems though, by holding back she encouraged Tori to test her voice and diva a little bit. They complimented each other really well.

I'm confused about the lyrics of this song. I'm not sure but when it makes reference to the fall of King David, when he went walking on the roof and saw a naked Bethsheba bathing and succumbed to his flesh and slept with her and then also reffering to Sampson fall when he blindly out of love let out his secret and Delilah cut his hair and symbol of his power These references made in the second verse, Is the composer meaning in spite of their fall they returned to the Lord with a Hallelujah and sought forgiveness or Is the composer from the perspective of a seductive woman.. how she made them fall, broke David's throne and Cut Sampsons hair and mocking how in the midst of the act, from their mouth drew a Hallelujah??

Basically, the first part talks about King David composing music that pleased God. The secret was his heart and the fact that all his music was in praise to God, Hellelujah. The second verse basically talks about men who thought they were strong enough and then fell to women cos they couldn't prove their faith, and in the midst of that fall, after being overthrown... Crying out hallelujah to God in repentance and humility. The third part talks about a person who's tried his best and everything still goes wrong, even in the midst of that still praying to God with Thanksgiving. That's my understanding of the lyrics.

I respect Jhud for holding back so not to overpower Tori. She's always respectful when dueting. The way she can manipulate her voice to match anyone else is beyond impressive. But in reality there are few who can hold their own against Jennifer. Her voice has few limits. She's a powerhouse. One of the greatest of all time.

I don't get why everyone is giving backhand compliments to Tori! 😂😂 It's funny coz she is more rounded singer as compared to the insanely talendt Jhud. Yes the latter has a nturally bigger/powerful voice. But Tori has a natural sense of musicality which is almost unparalleled, the way she emblemishes each song!! Just the exact amount of nuances make her exceptional. The agility is well known...not Jhud's fortè for sure...so in my humble opinion Tori was the one holding back!! Coz she has the resonance/technique to match Jhud's naturallly gifted belting but Jhud totally lacks the agility. They blended well to do the song justice yet here we are fighting on who's better 😂😂 Although for me it's definitely Tori but they both are 2 gifted singer for sure.
