I've heard their songs on YT and I couldn't get into Ziggy's music, he's a great singer, but he did nothing for me. I am however already singing along to MacKenzie's stuff as it's more my style of music. Well there's always next year if either chooses to come back?

I thought the same thing. Ziggy was amazing. But you also have to think about it they look for stage presence and how the crowd is with that person and sometimes they look for something better. I thought ziggy was amazing but they are professionals they know what they are doing. And he talked about the Netherlands so much that it made me feel like if he would have won or if he went to La that he wouldn’t like it. I felt he talked way to much about the Netherlands if he liked it so much then why didn’t he just stay there.

I loved Mackenzie’s passion and unbridled grit in his performance. He has so much soul!!!! HOWEVER, Ziggy ate this up and down! He controlled that so well. Rasp is nice and great and he was a nice one, but it’s uncontrolled and unbridled! Objective vocal ability, ZIGGY was absolutely flawless. He took us on a journey with the song and shaped it so perfectly. He didn’t give us all the goods at the beginning. I’m gagged! He literally was vocally flawless and brought so much emotion. Mackenzie is a beast and has so much soul, but comparing vocal performances here is crazy. There should have never been a sing-off in all honesty. They have let extra people through before. I've been a loyal fan of American Idol for years; however, I've never commented before, but feel I have to weigh in here. The judges totally blew it in this case! I really have to question their judgement now. It's really shocking! Ziggy not only made the song his own and emoted so well that we could also feel it in our hearts, but he also made the song beautiful. It had both emotion and great musicality. I HATE that Idol pitted those two against each other AND that Ziggy went home. I was floored! Not only is he ttly talented, but they really supported him and built him up like he could trust the process. What a slap in the face!
