Damn, that sunset has to be one of the best you've caught from a plane 👏

Great video! I love the takeoff footage - the view of the wing and smoothness of the turn make air travel look graceful. I like night landings in Singapore over the water accentuated by the specks of light from container ships and fishing boats.

Thanks very much for the feedback. The quality of the take off footage is something I’ve been trying to improve a lot as of late. You should see even smoother footage starting with my reports coming out from April. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Gorgeous view out of the cabin window! May I ask what camera are you using for all your videos? They look absolutely sharp detailed! Even with that steak looking so tastefully juicy! Great review by the way! And I am amazed you even knew what kind of seats used on different aircraft types.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much. Knowing exactly which seat to get is very important to me :) my newer videos go into even more detail. If you’re gonna shell out a small fortune, you better be comfortable! For all of my trip reports I use a combination of an iPhone 12PM (day only) & 13PM (day & night). Thanks very much for watching 🙏🏻

During your layover in Changi, were you able to wonder about or did you have to stay in a transit area? I have an upcoming 12 hour layover and I was wondering if I'd be able to check out The Jewel which I believe is landside.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
You’ll be able to go anywhere within the airport- but The Jewel is not within the airport so you’ll have to enter Singapore for that. Whether or not you are allowed to depends on multiple factors. I recommend Sherpa as a good one stop website to check what would be needed. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Glad you posted the vid. Looking at places in Asia to go for the long Eid weekend at the end of April, seems like I’ll have to cross Viet Nam off the list for now. All those chairs for for passport control makes me want to skip Thailand also if Phuket is the same way. Might just end up making a trip to the Philippines.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
I hope this video wasn’t a deterrent to you visiting Vietnam? The country has finally reopened to tourism- with essentially the exact same visa procedures in place for each nationality as were there pre-COVID. All of this as of 16/03. As for Thailand, they are a well oiled machine on arrival. I agree the long lines of chairs aren’t too welcoming- but, when I originally arrived in Thailand in late November… from stepping off the plane to when I was in the car was actually significantly faster than any time pre-COVID, even with all of the procedures. Either way, thanks for watching 🙏🏻

@@tfft You mentioned a quarantine hotel in Saigon at 12:03. Traveling during the Eid holiday is very similar to traveling during Thanksgiving weekend back home in the states. Youv'e got a set number of days, so quarantining in a hotel won't work for a short holiday, that's all I meant.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am still catching up with my videos- that’s why I always put the date filmed in the opening credits. My next video out will show the quarantine hotel that I had just as an added clip to the video- I make it clear in that video that the quarantine is no longer necessary when entering Vietnam. For up to date travel restrictions by country I recommend using Sherpa, which has been invaluable to me on my current trip in South America. apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions

I took SQ713 business class (2 hours after SQ711) 2 weeks earlier because I didn’t want to spend too much layover in Singapore to catch SQ24 back to New York. The flight was okay and similar with yours. I had chance to check at Thai airways lounge. I can tell you you didn’t miss anything. Pad Thai there was disappointment as native Thai. I took a bet to sleep over at the couch in Singapore lounge instead because the hotel cost too much for me.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree the Thai lounges aren’t much to speak of- but at least the ones in the outer concourses have good apron views. Unfortunately the Turkish and Sing lounges weren’t open when I was there- tbh though, I think the Oman Air and AF/KLM lounges are the best in the airport though. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@atsawinthongsumak572 жыл бұрын
@@tfft I was so pissed when I left Thai airways lounge with disappointment then I saw chicken and duck were hanging in Miracle lounge, which I had priority pass to get there. I should go there instead of Thai airways lounge. One thing I was surprised was I didn’t see chicken rice offered in Singapore lounge either.

Btw the longest flight on sq regional business class is from Singapore to Sydney that is about 8 hours
@tfft9 ай бұрын
During Covid perhaps? That's definitly not the case now with 2x 388, 1x 77W and 1x LH 359 daily currently.
@sqt28k2 жыл бұрын
Dude, you rated the seat 5/10? I don’t think that’s a fair score. SIA has one of (if not) the best Business Class seats in the world.
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
Their long haul product is one of the best in the world and my flights on that product reflect that in the score. Their regional product I’m not a fan of for the multiple reasons I showed/stated in the video. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Staying at Changi is a ripped off. Expensive and only 6 hours

SQ regional business class ~ public perception, bad… TK new business class ~ wow… haha they’re the same product.. when people see the word “regional”, they immediately think it’s a lesser product..
@tfft2 жыл бұрын
I don’t know about the rest of the public, but I also am not a fan of TK’s new seats… as you said, they’re exactly the same… I’d much rather be in one of their older configuration 777s or A330s. Turkish is blessed with a fantastic food program that ‘forgives’ many other small flaws they may have. I have flights on both their 787 and A330 coming up in 2 weeks. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
