[Singapore] Ambulances Responding | SCDF Paya Lebar Fire Station

Captured here are several emergency ambulances of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) turning out of Paya Lebar Fire Station, also the SCDF headquarters, for different medical emergencies throughout the evening. This fire station, like most others in Singapore, is now equipped with several new state of the art Mercedes Sprinter ambulances, which come with exceptional safety features (including a Rumbler siren) as well as highly advanced medical equipment.

Congrats to 10K! I cant believe it, when I first found your channel you had 300 subs! The ambulances are amazing, no nerd to discuss, the different flash patterns are interesting but the most amazing are the multicolor LEDs!

I think multicolors can be put to good use but all too often they make it easy to have a ridiculous pattern. It should just flash left-right changing colors predictably. At long ranges it's all about contrast so this is useless The second one has a much nicer pattern tho

Why they have no white at front and all white on rear? Its the opposite of what should be

‘What should be’ depends on the place, agency, and opinions. There is some white on the front (roof lights), but I do not know why they chose to have it predominantly to the rear. The design and safety features of these ambulances were based on information from around the world.

5:23 Did the ambulance stop on a red traffic light? Seems like they weren't in a hurry.

Yes, they are required by law to stop at traffic lights unless it is a life or death emergency. Even then they may only run red lights with both lights and siren activated and only if safe to do so of course. Singapore follows the British response model, so emergency vehicles are also not supposed to ‘pressure’ other drivers to go through red lights to let them pass.

Yes a few times :P One time at Sengkang fire station in Singapore the captain/ supervisor of the station came out because he was concerned for my safety (I was standing on the road median to get a good shot lol) and wondering what I was doing there. I talked to him and showed him my KZbin channel, he was very friendly and wished me good luck. When he went back in the station I saw all the firefighters taking out their phones to look a my channel too... 😆😂👌🏼

Fdny chaser Hi. SCDF Typically has 3 personnel on an Alpha (Ambulance) 1 Paramedic and 2 EMTs They have 1 minute to respond to the call and 11 minutes in total to get to the sence. Thanks

Im pretty sure the last one stopped at a red light even though he was code-3, there was no oncoming traffic and they still waited for the light to turn green

Golam Noor E Mawla Haha but this is the regular Ambulance in Singapore. SCDF does not use Toyota Hiace.
