How a little red dot is able to draw people from all over the world to learn about its success?? Yet, many Singaporean are so often, so critical of the Singapore government and barely appreciate the good lives they've been enjoying.

We don't criticise our government It's just that people are complaining that it's expensive here.

When a government does wrong, the people have a duty to react to it. The same way, when a government does right, the people have a duty to support it. Given people are not perfect, and that a government is made up of people, both the government and people are capable of the entire range of human behaviours: from compassion and benevolence to exploitation and corruption. So a government is capable of doing good, as much as it is of doing evil. Sometimes, people are lazy too think and just assume that because of so much bad governance in existence, it's easier to just assume that the governance they experience is terrible too, no matter how hard the government tries.

Singaporean does complain, but knows, who's the right people for the job. That's why, the government has been since independence, the same political party.

It's okay to be critical of the government. It means Singaporeans have the freedom to criticize their government. Very few countries would want to learn from Singapore if it isn't fundamentally a democracy.

Singaporeans indeed a whiny bunch, there is a reason Dr Koh called it “first world government with third world people”. You can’t even enjoy a peaceful public transport ride without some inconsiderate SIngaporeans blasting their phones
