Shameless Singapore’s Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Are Dumping Their Own Stranded Singaporean In Greece!!! Refusing To Repatriate Him! Leaving Him To Rot & Die In Greece! We thought the Singapore Government have always frowned upon litterbugs and thus fined them heavily; but somehow the Singapore Government themselves are Litterbugs though on a much Higher Scale! They are literally dumping their unwanted and stranded Singaporean in others’ country! For example, a poor, homeless and penniless stranded Singaporean by the name of Eric Ong, have been ignored and left to rot and die in Greece by the Singapore’s MFA for the last 6 months! Even with the request & assistance of the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) by the UNHCR , the Singapore’s Government has outrightly refused to repatriate him by denying him of the DOI (Document Of Identity) in order for him to return! So my question to the Shameless Singapore Government is: when you don’t wish to handle your own Unwanted Singaporeans, do you just dump your trash in some other countries like Greece? Does Greece look like a trash bin or dumping ground for all your unwanted Singaporeans?!? You, Singaporeans are double standards by issuing restrictions on other countries dumping their unwanted citizens in your country but you can somehow do that to others?!? PLEASE TAKE BACK YOUR TRASH! GREECE IS NOT YOUR DUMPING GROUND FOR YOUR UNWANTED CITIZENS!!! You claim that he did something wrong and instead of repatriating him for a fair trial, you have decided that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs alone have been empowered to be the Judge, Jury and Executioner! Sometimes we Singaporean workers feel, we are treated less worthy than migrant workers. Things like they are given free meal but we are not. They even reject the meal and throw it into waste bin. @@mattam509 ... Dr Vivian is a respectable and great politician but he is not perfect and I agreed 90% only so the 10% that I am disagreed upon are as below based on his comments :- 1. China scars of humiliation and time has arrived should never be mentioned cos it has negative impact on China. 2. Distraction to pandemic is a sensitive question to both China and USA so he cannot said it as neither or even either. 3. He mentioned SG not a claimant but long term interest about S.C.S shows lack of integrity or perhaps dishonesty. This is a yes or no answer. 4. Be specific about China commentators who unhappy but senior level understand it... So who are the commentators cos this term used is too general and weightless. 5. Open bordes is not all about public health so should have mentioned economy and social being between countries. Once you acknowledge all this 5 points then I give u another final 5 points.

Just my own view, I felt that we relied too much on foreign investments, particularly US investments too much. That we sometimes have to comment on US-China or some other foreign issues which we do not need to comment on. We need to break free from over-reliant on foreign investment so that there is less risk that we may be pressured by certain party to make certain moves or comments.

To: Everyone Concerned, I have done everything right by the book and gotten through the proper channel. International Organisation of Immigration (IOM) has already prepared all the relevant necessary documentations, purchase my air-ticket and have also ensured/ secured a clear passage of way at the Athens Airport for my seamless repatriation to Singapore. But yet; when the time comes for the MFA to issue the DOI- Document Of Identification, you refused. Outrightly, rejected the IOM’s Proposal for my repatriation without giving any reason why. I would like to know the reason/s why was my repatriation being rejected and after 6 long tedious months of homelessness and starvation in Greece, what’s the Singapore’s MFA purpose behind it? How long more do you intend to keep me this way? I am a Singaporean and you outrightly refused my repatriation without any clarification nor explanation. I am seeking your clarity on this matter. As my life is hanging on a thread. If I have committed a crime, you should repatriate me to face the consequences but you did neither! Please enlighten me?!? You refused to repatriate me and you refused to revoke my Citizenship?!? I am stuck in a precarious situation here!
