I was an exchange student that stayed in Hall 3. It was amazing.

Thanks a lot, this was very informative video! I'm curious about 2 things right now, how much money does an average student spend living in campus and how difficult is it to maintain 3.5 Cumulative Average Point? Hope you'll respond me xD

Daamn if we cant choose what hall we want in ntu then how does the culture even sustain itself..you’re like forced to fit in?
@sunnysheryl5 жыл бұрын
Yup in a way! I found it hard to fit it and I’m sure some others find it hard too! But some really enjoy it so 😊

hey Sheryl, I was wondering when do u have to start applying to halls (before applying to NTU or after), are there only these 4 types (none with a bathroom inside, and where are the showers?) and are there any kitchens? and if you don't live in a hall and are an international student, what other options are there? please answer, these questions, sorry for the long comment and thank you for this video:)
@sunnysheryl5 жыл бұрын
HI Rushvi, you apply to halls after applying to NTU and you've got a place! Hall 1 and 2 have bathrooms attached to be shared between 2 rooms, but if you meant a bathroom specifically attached for one room, nope! There are pantries on every floor in newer halls and in every block in older blocks, but no fully equipped kitchens with stoves. If you don't live in hall you could consider renting a 1 room HDB flat near school!

Hi Zoe! Yes it could be more expensive than renting a HDB 1 room flat too! But cost of living in Singapore is generally high!

Hi, I have a question. Generally does students at NTU manage to keep a part-time job? And is it possible to get jobs only speaking English?
@sunnysheryl4 жыл бұрын
My friends me generally have part time jobs or internships! Yes, English is our main language! I don’t think a job really requires another language besides English unless in the service industry where you may need other languages to talk to the elders here in Singapore? I hope that helps! ☺️

Hi, do you know if it is easy to find vegan food in canteens? Which canteen would you recommend? I will be an exchange student in few months and I was wondering which hall would be the best for me, so the canteen with vegan food is nearby.
@sunnysheryl4 жыл бұрын
This is tricky since we don’t have any designated vegan store! The best would be vegetarian stores (although it’s not the same as vegan), as every canteen has one!

Hi, im a freshman who didnt apply for ntu hall, but i want to try to apply now as i have lessons 5 days a week. I heard that i can do walk in for hall but does it mean i will miss hall camp? I'm afraid i won't get to know people in the hall if i miss hall camp. Any advices?
@sunnysheryl6 жыл бұрын
Hey hello sorry for the late reply! You can apply any time in the Sem online, walk in I think you can approach the individual hall’s office! If you miss hall camp definitely it’s harder but you can always join hall activities to make friends! All the best! :-)

Hi Tanmay! We have no food plans. You can buy food from any of our canteens (most halls have a canteen downstairs or near them) but it’s not like a semester food plan!
