i really like the teh tarik work in the backdrop of the teh tarik mural. i came to kampung gelam in january, 1 night after my coldplay concert in kallang. in fact, there are a few more murals like the basket shop with cats along baghdad street. i even walked into the tarik shop and ordered its signature spiced iced coffee using saffron as one of its ingredients. it's great that you capture the iftar or 'buka puasa' scene in this video once the evening maghrib prayer has been called from the famous sultan mosque. i guess that the iftar time in the neighbouring jb is the same as in Singapore. also, it is one of a few ramadan bazaars in the world that operates up to late at night, compared with the ones in Malaysia that close at 8pm after the iftar.

Kampong Glam has a special feel whenever I bring overseas friends to visit. The ambience is great, especially now during Ramadan. I filmed Yew Chong on a few days when he was painting the Mural last year. I framed the young teh tarik guy with the mural in the background and it turned out nicely. Ramadan at Kampong Glam always evoke a nostalgic feel. Glad I visited there.
The food was very delicious and I enjoyed this visit. Thanks for your nice feedback ❤

Ya lor. Some food are more expensive than food court. However some food are really good, like the Meokja Korean Toast 😀

@@anonnymouz6826 I tried the Beef Bulgogi toast. The guys were really friendly. They refused to accept payment and offered it free to me. I am not a foodie but I can tell that the toast was really good. The beef and onion were fried to perfection with cheese, egg and sauces added. The toast being made in the video was the one I ate. The pricing is at 33:33 of this video.

We think the your video captures the must-see Sultan Mosque, glistening in gold, in Kampong Glam, enhancing the atmosphere of the Ramadan in the area!☝️😊🌟 In the video content, this time around the Kampong Glam Ramadan Bazaar seems to be the longest and largest in scale, as an extension of the bazaar. The beginning of Ramadan has already tantalized our taste buds with a variety of delicious foods, and we were also captivated by the exceptional mural art!✨🌯🎨 Yosh and Iku

I captured the moment they break fast (Iftar). I timed my walk to capture that moment, focussing on the stall holders. Most Muslims would have bought their meals and seated somewhere ready to eat or drink something at that moment. That's why you see the Bazaar was quite empty at Iftar time. The vendors here are young and friendly. I managed to get some of them to dance and pose for the camera after spending a bit of time chatting with them. The food is delicious but the prices of some items were quite expensive.

Prices are crazy & food taste soso. Been more than 15++ years that i don't patronise bazaar or buffet anymore, nor eat out especially for Break Fast. Hate the queue & hate to having stand around looking for seatings. I don't pay to stand & searching. Alhamdulillah, home cook food is best, economical. U cook big portion for buka, & u can carry forward for sahur. Why waste money buy food at exorbitant prices but u eat for just 1 meal... Eat at the comfort of own home, tats the best
