Not one singer in this crazy world can compete or compare themselves with Dimash. He is the greatest musician to ever grace our planet. He is the Mozart, the Leo Di Vinchi of music. 💛💙💛💙💛💙

You know, when he was performing at his concert in Antalya, Dimash knelt down near the crowd at the edge of the stage as he often does. The people around started singing along with him and then, Dimash heard one particular girl (who’s actually a teenager who does covers of his songs on KZbin, but he didn’t know her at all) who had a very beautiful voice. He noticed that one voice among dozens of others, looked for her in the crowd, gave her the mic, and after just a few notes he told her to come on stage and let her sing the end of the song. He asked for her name, told her she had an amazing voice and after a few more years, they’d see each other on a big stage. I think that’s the most beautiful example of someone encouraging people to perseverate and pursue their dreams. Now you can be sure this girl won’t give up on singing anytime soon. Proof that Dimash loves people covering his songs and is happy to be an inspiration. So if he inspires you, don’t let anyone tell you you’re not worthy of singing his songs.

I think it is safer to share Dimash rather than cover Dimash... don't hurt yourself. He means to inspire you to express you own talents rather than imitate his. I love your message, and mission and enthusiasm. Keep up the good work. Love from the Marshall Islands.

Basically to sing any Song Dimash sings you'll need 4-5 people, a soprano, a tenor, a bass, a Mariah Carey, a Freddy Mercury, an Andrea Bocelli and a bird for the D8 whistle...lol literally every great vocalist Dimash is the Jack of all trades and Master of all...he can rap too. Good luck in attempting to sing this song without autotune. Peace! ❤😂

ATTENTION ALL DEARS: Please Stop Telling Singers To NOT Attempt Covering Dimash's Songs & or Cover Renditions because NO ONE can sing like Dimash & it'll just be setting up for failure!!! Don't you understand that by covering his songs, you're paying him homage & sharing his songs & him with the world! That's EXACTLY what Dimash needs! To get more & more people from around the world, especially from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, & the UK to experience Dimash! I can't remember who said it, but some famous singer once said in an interview that "You know you made it when other singers begin covering your songs!" Imagine the feeling Dimash gets when he finds out that singers from around the world enjoyed his songs so much that they decided to cover it!!! So PLEASE don't be those types of fans! I've come across so many KZbinrs, especially very small channels who begin reacting to Dimash & start getting a flood of DEARS subbing & showing tons of love & info in the comment section, which leads to those KZbinrs praising all the DEARS for being such an awesome fan base unlike fans of so many other musicians. But then you get those DEARS who'll become so enraged, hateful, & spiteful whenever any KZbinr says anything other than positive things about Dimash or in this case, where the KZbinr wants to cover one or more of his songs! That's very off-putting & many of the KZbinrs who experienced this, end up never reacting to Dimash again because they want to avoid a fan base that becomes so angry & hateful in their comment section! This isn't fair to those KZbinrs nor is it fair to majority of us DEARS who don't act that way! Once again, I plead with all of the DEARS who act this way, to PLEASE STOP!

BULLSHIT. Dimash is very well publicised lol. What we don’t need is another sect of crazy people thinking it’s ok to do shit they can’t. It’s being honest to say don’t sing this!!! The guy can’t sing this simple. He has no voice an by the way he was attempting whilst sitting with no warm up. He’s not going to be taken seriously. I don’t think dimash will suffer from the guy not performing this song terribly. It’s idiots like you that push support for all the wrong reasons an dip shits end up listening and hurting themselves an looking like fucking freaks. They don’t need that attention. Stick to your vegan meal for one snowflake. OH YER AND DONT SING THIS FUCKING SONG JUST BECAUSE THIS FUCKING RETARD LOOKS LIKE THEY GIVE A SHIT ITS ACTUALLY YHE OTHER WAY ROUND AS CRINGY AS YOU ARE IT WOULD FUCK YOUR BAND AN YOUR VOCAL CHORDS QUICKER.

Ignore what people tell you. Do your own cover. It's always great that a singer like Dimash can inspire other artists. His range is incredible and this will push you into new areas of your voice. And use his version as inspiration but make it your own. Its a great song and new versions of it are always welcome. So, show us your version of this song. This song is widely known in France, in Canada and now, because of Dimash, its going global. Take your time with it - its a BIG song, has a lot of international clout, and if you do it right, with your authenticity, this could be a big one for you. Again: dont copy Dimash, but use him as your inspiration. Good luck!!

To cover a song doesn't mean you "copy/paste". What's the meaning of that? THIS is a cover, Dimash wasn't the first. Daniel Balavoine sang this in the French - Canadian rock opera 'Starmania', 1979 (soundtrack recorded -78) If you haven't heard Dimash singing SOS as teenager, dig around on YT, there are several recordings, him being 15, 17, 19, if my memory doesn't fail me (which commonly happens!). In the early recordings of Dimash he sings very much like Balavoine did. The more Dimash has evolved, the further away from the original he gets. If you listen to the 'Singer' version from 2017 and what he has done 2022, it's, not a full, but at least a half light year between. Honestly, I prefer the 'Singer' version, it's more sincere. Less technicalities but more heart. As Joel pointed out, the song is about someone who doesn't feel so good. "En détresse'". Distressed. In the 'Singer' contest he, in my opinion, found the perfect balance between singing beautifully and show how he dispares, how lost he feelings. Daniel Balavoine tragically died in a helicopter accident only 33 years old, 1986. Daniel Balavoine, 'SOS, d'un terrien en détresse', live. (The song was written for his voice and range, in the original key and arrangement.) kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5y9pneeqrmerqc

Lol He doesn't need to copy and paste what Dimash did. He can cover it in his own style with his band. When making a cover of a song, it doesn't mean doing exactly what the original singer did, since authenticity or being unique is a great point for a singer.
@teressam8363 Жыл бұрын
He didn't say he is going to imitate Dimash, he can definitely sing it in his own style. Dimash isn't the first person to sing this song either, please don't discourage singers like this. Your email is so negative and I dont think a fellow dear should be putting down other singers in Dimash's name

I think Dimash loves it when people cover his songs and wouldn’t be judgemental of this person at all. Since you’ve been lucky enough to see him live, i’m sure you’ve noticed how much he appreciates his audience singing along, even if it’s not perfect. Heck, when he noticed a promising voice in the crowd while performing in Antalya, he even took the time to look for her among dozens of others, give her the mic and invite her on stage. Everyone’s different and everyone who’s willing to do their best deserves encouragement and support, so please don’t be rude like that cuz I’m sure it isn’t what Dimash would want, thank you (:

@no name There's definitely singers who can sing certain parts here or there that might be able to sing higher or lower than him but only here or there. He is different because he is equally good and powerful in ALL. On top of that you can't categorize him as tenor or counter tenor or soprano because he is ALL because he can sing all of them....from bass right up to all types of sopranos including the highly intric and difficult coloratura soprano (which requires very, very skilled people to do it). You think it's simple or easy to sing like him......but believe me....it requires humongous skills and talent to sing like Dimash......he is so skillful he makes them looks effortless. Even seasoned and experienced professional singers could only dreamed to be able to sing as he can. As I said....certain parts here or there other singer might be able to sing as well or maybe higher? or maybe lower? or maybe better? but never in all areas like him.

There are great cover bands in ever major city across the country. Sometimes the cover band covers the original better because of shear raw talent, but it's the creativity of the original band that makes it what it it is and makes the cover band simply a great wedding or party band. So, use Dimash's incredible arrangement as inspiration to exploit the things you do well, or even outrageously, to create a new and innovative version of S.O.S. in your voice, with your band's talent. Life is too short as a musician to not be presenting your own creative work. Frankly, you're not a professional if you are doing that, you are still acting like a student. You have what it takes to pull it off. Just do it!

Lol He doesn't need to copy and paste what Dimash did. He can cover it in his own style with his band. When making a cover of a song, it doesn't mean doing exactly what the original singer did, since authenticity or being unique is a great point for a singer.

SOS is from Canadian-French Rock Opera STARMANIA originally sung by Daniel Balavoine in 1976. It's one of the most famous French song as well as being one of the most difficult to sing.

I wish not to offend you, but please don't make a fool of yourself trying to cover SOS. This is a song very dear to the French people. Dimash has studied since the age of 4, recently graduated with a Master's Degree in music, sings in 5 octaves, plus his whistle which is hauntingly beautiful. His vocal chords have been trained since childhood. That was not a 'band' backing him; it was an orchestra. Why don't you watch his American debut from last November at The Barclays Center in New York City where he filled the 14,000 seat auditorium to standing room only. He has been a star in Asia and Europe for several years. Admire him, listen to his music, but stick to your own style. You cannot duplicate his. Good luck.

Many opinions on the whether to cover this song or not , so I will just add mine to the bucket. This song was not originally sang by Dimash, so anyone is free to cover it. That being said, why are you asking us? If you are inspired by it, then just cover and post it like many have. Caleb Cole's rendition was gorgeous and Rimmar's covers of Dimash's songs are breathtaking. If you just want to find out whether we will watch it before you do it, then please don't because you are going to be disappointed. I think you have it a little backwards, it is your responsibility as the artist to create the rapport not insist we love you first. By the way, you are really talented. Best for you and ONELIFE

There have been hundreds of performers of this song since 1976, but not one has any vocal data to perform it like Dimash did! Maestro Michel Berger, for sure, would have been happy if it was such a performer who would have come to him for an audition - all the notes were effortlessly taken, and how much strength and tenderness in this performance, what actor’s presentation of each line exactly according to the content of the song. "S.O.S." Dimasha, like a scarf with a magical aroma, flying over the square in the "Perfumer" - one wave and everyone is fascinated! The tone is incredible, penetrating the very heart! Arrangement for the vocal range of Dimash was made by his friend, a talented musician and arranger Erlan Bekchurin. - kzbin.info S.O.S. of a Man in Distress "Starmania" (french rock opera). Music - Michel Berger, text - Luc Plamondon Why do I live, why do I die? Why do I live, why do I cry? Here is the SOS of a man in distress I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I don't fit into this skin I'd like to see the world turned upside down If ever it were beautiful It's lovelier from above, from above I've always confused life with the comic strips Even wished I could transform I feel something That draws me That draws me That draws me up Into the great lotto of the universe I don't have the right numbers I don't fit into this skin I don't want to be a robot Eating, working, sleeping Why do I live, why do I die Why do I live, why do I cry I think I'm catching waves From another world I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I'd like to see the world turned upside down I'd rather be a bird Sleep, child, sleep...

It is so good that Dimash encourages other talanted singers to try something new. Nowadays there are a lot of vocalists which learn from Dimash. He is the vocal academy at his 26. But you should know that he trained fanatically for many hours to get such result. He has initially 5 octaves and developed up to nearly 7. His low register voice is so good now. But this is not enough. He changes the style of singing within one musical phrase. He uses a lot of techniques. He engaged his body in singing in full. But the main thing is he can convey any emotions and tells a story for the audience.

Thank you for more Dimash. This is Dimash's most popular song and might not be the best one to try to cover. Another thing about many Dimash fans... as much as we love for people to discover Dimash, it is preferred that you listen to the song rather than sing with him during the reaction. That being said, it is very commendable for you to try to sing Dimash but maybe learn after the reaction. Most will certainly give your cover a try. It is also very commendable for you to support mental health, a very worthy cause. I just became a subscriber and look forward to your continued reaction of the best singer in the world.. Dimash.
