When I saw the scene of the man holding his daughter and the next it was her walking towards death, I felt that deep in me. It reminded me holding my mom who had cancer 3 times over a 25 year period. She died at 52, I was 27. I remember that feeling of pure emotional death when she died, watching her slowly go closer to death, just like this mean portrayed as he hit the ground in agony over losing his daughter. I have never felt a more painful thing in my life and honestly dont think anything can top it, unless I lost a child.

That's so bitter, so sorry about that In my life i had several miscarriages at my early days in marriage... I carried one almost to 4month before i lost it, i felt so much pain coupled with evacuation the pain was so deep that my sweat soaked my cloth and it was so heavy like blood

It is not the Death you see in the Video. These are Timekeepers. In german "Bewahrer der Zeit", which accompany the beginning and end of life. You can see their faces like a flow of time (Der Fluss der Zeit). Every person have to live consciously enjoy every beuatiful moment. Because each of us is here and now only for a limited TIME. This is my interpretation to this masterpiece of an "music video".

I love the new Album, but Zeit in my absolutley fav. The deep of the lyrics. Our time comes, and the Reaper comes. And thats ok. Good, bad, young old , lovley Human or scary. You can be ,what you are(and me), and at the end, we are going in Time.

I think it's a really amazing Song. And the lyrics are about something, that affect every single person. Rammstein takes the wish of many people that everything should stay as it is at the moment because people can't enjoy every Single moment in their life. But aß time continously goes on and everything changes throughout the time this wish will never be fullfilled. This is really good presented and realized with the Text but also with the video. It is so heard catching. 💞

Another thing that came to my the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense? This is art at its finest..a true Masterpiece!!

The three black dressed women are the three Nornes. In the old german fore-christian mythology they represent the past, the present and the future. The Norne of the past is named Urd (the destiny). The Norne of the present is Verdandi (that what is now and what will be in the next moment). The Norne of the future is Skuld (that what will grow out of the past and the always changing moments). The Nornes spin the rope of life. They decide where the rope begins and where it ends. In Germany we still say „life hangs at a thin rope" when things are getting dangerous or somebody is really hurt or sick. The Nornes are no gods. They just represent the time of a life. People can't influence time and a lot of things that happens. The life of everyone is created by the Nornes what means by the time. And we all sitting in the same boat mightless in the sands of time. This is the credo of this song.

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.

The english translation is not that good to be honest :D I will say though that the lyrics are (as usual with Rammstein) quite lyrical or poetic, so it's tough to transport that into another language. But some formulations are a bit weird. Wir sterben lebend in den Tod should be "living we die into death" because living is active and alive just the condition. Am Ufer winkt Unendlichkeit should be "Infinity waving from the shore" to make sure it's waves, not waves :D Gefangen im Fluss der Zeit you would say "captive" instead of "caught" since it means a permanent condition. Zukunft kann man nicht beschwören is a bit tricky because "beschwören" can mean conjure/summon or rather "beg" or "implore". In this case the singer asks Future to stay away a little longer, so implore fits the meaning of the song. "Erschaffen" und sogleich "zerstört" are participles so you say creatED and destroyED ;) Last verse is: When our time's here, it's time to go. Stop when at it's best, clocks not ticking anymore. So perfect the moment, but time keeps running. Moment, please linger, I'm not ready yet.
