The Korean music industry is as diverse as it is here in America, but there are some differences in taste. This means that some genres may be more niche or popular in Korea than in America . Koreans love ballad music, but rock music is unpopular among the general public. What we consider “kpop” is actually not that popular in Korea, either. Kballads, khiphop, and krnb own the charts. It’s usually only the most popular kpop groups/soloists who are able to chart that high. The Rose are a soft rock band heavily inspired by British bands such as Coldplay, 1975, The Script, etc. This band is most recognized by their main vocalist, Sammy’s, unique voice. It’s raspy and usually ends lines with a feathery vibrato. People have a hard time describing it with anything other than “singing in cursive”.

Thanks for reacting to The Rose! You should check them out, they've got a lot of good songs like Red, Like We Used To, Baby, She's In The Rain, Candy and more. They did amazing covers of Yellow and Marry You too! Woo Sung/Sammy is the lead vocalist, Jaehyeong/Jeff plays the bass guitar, Hajoon/Dylan drummer and Dojoon/Leo main vocal he also plays the keyboard and acoustic guitar. They're pretty talented, tbvh. Currently they're on hiatus because the three members are serving their country but before going in the military they released a song titled 'Black Rose' dedicated for the whole fandom. Again, thank you so much for appreciating them! 🖤

CNBLUE is very popular when it comes to bands, sold out concerts, I saw younger CNBLUE vibes from The Rose that's why I also stan them. p.s. I stan talented artists talaga that's why I'm an A'tin.
