You don't even need to imagine how quickly she can switch her voice live on stage, just check out "Perennial " live at Wacken 2019 .

Tati is fabulous, not only gifted with incredible singing talent, but pay close attention to her songwriting capability evidenced by her soulful lyrics! The entire band is exceptional!! "Teacher Teacher" pls

In case you're wondering about the time signatures: The verses are in 7/8 The chorus is in 10/8 The pre-chorus, bridge and outro are in 6/8 And there is a 4 bar transition in 4/4 before the first chorus. The vocal switches are dramatic in this song, but not nearly as dramatic as in songs like Teacher Teacher, Destroy and Perennial. She does it even better live

Fun reaction - subbed. They are incredible. Gotta see them on stage. They are one of those bands where their concert stuff is generally even more impressive than their studio performances. Perennial live at Wacken is the one we usually recommend for people who aren't metalheads. Teacher Teacher live in Melbourne is a good followup for one of their most popular songs, or the official video after Perennial. The switching in those two is so fast it is crazy. The only switches she has trouble with are from growls to belting, growls to normal cleans she does in an instant, but she does the section that she belted here as a growling section live. For a song where she switches from growls to belting with an extra second in between, check out their one-take vocal performance video for Judgement & Punishment. Cheers!

Without a doubt you have to continue this journey and jump into their rabbit hole. This band is all around obscenely good. Pisces is their intro song. While it is very good and it is the one that has opened the door for so much of their recognition, it is not nearly the best of them. Keep checking these guys out. Perennial live at Wacken!!! She finds a different way to surprise you with every new listen.

Always fun to watch professional singers watching this for the first time.... the majority, including yourself here, make the involuntary move of a hand to the throat, bracing for major damage!! :) All 4 of them are tremendous technicians tho (I personally dream of having the chops of Eugene on bass), & the compositions they come up with (often epic multi-movement pieces, with brain-engaging angular proggy timings, yet somehow without losing groove, which is surely witchcraft?!) have made them my favourite current band.... & I normally do not entertain *at all* bands who growl/scream btw! Something about the way Tatiana does her thing is just *undeniable* tho. Integrity goes a long way for me regarding musicians of all sorts.... & I 100% *believe* her when she goes for it. :)

Being a metal head, for me, this is old already (saw them live 4/20/18) but I'm just so thankful that Jinjer is still spreading around and seeping into other's lives. I've always preferred female vocalists and Tatiana is the prefect storm. I truly believe she and this band could single highhandedly bring metal back to a more mainstream environment if people were more receptive. Imho she is the best vocalist in metal period. period. period. Yes, live.... she is on f'n point... oh and the bass player is no slouch either.

If you wanna see how flawless Tatiana can switch. Look at teacher teacher. She sings (dear lord forgive me as ), then growls " Im slapping, slapping," then goes immediately back to( slapping this sinful child) etc. Take a look and listen then you'll begin to understand.

How fast does she switch? From line to line in an instant going from growls to cleans in Perennial live at Wacken (pronounced "Vah-ken" or "Vakken" cuz it is in Germany) or in the middle of lines going from cleans to growls for example in Teacher Teacher live in Melbourne.

Check out Amorphis "Death Of A King" (Official Video). Amorphis has a male vocalist who has deep growl but also a beautiful clean voice. I would say his growl is a little more pleasant than Jinjer's. I saw Amorphis live three weeks ago and was impressed. Great vocals and music. I just saw your reaction to Nightwish "Ghost Love Score. Amorphis has toured with Nightwish, and will again if ans when we get fid of this fking Covid-19 virus. Both bands are from Finland. As a Finn I couldn't be prouder. Greetings from Helsinki Finland! Stay safe!
