Joseff, as you delve further into Tatiana and Jinger, you will find an exceptionally talented group. Their use of complex syncopations along with heart pounding drive is outstanding. Most (but not all) the harder metal bands I heard as a young man traded musicianship for over-amplified three chord distortion. Boy have things changed! Great reaction. More please.

Such a great reaction. It’s so rare for her lyrics to grab reactors over the “shock” of hearing her incredible voice. And her lyrics are stunning. As others have said, the standards of the Jinjer rabbit hole consist of “Pisces” live session, “Teacher Teacher,” and “Perennial” Live at Wacken. I think you will really like the lyrical content of “Teacher Teacher”. The lyrics use school as a metaphor. “I’m gonna Be the One” is also a must. And if you want an amazing song and powerful lyrics check out “Home Back”. “Ape” is a great song with great lyrics too. This should keep you busy!

The Fairy Voice Mother did a reaction to a Jinjer song and broke down the technique very well. Also, Loudwire has a series called "How I Learned to Scream" with Tatiana on an episode. If you ask her she's not even really aware of how she does it, and she is completely self taught so she has no real way to explain it technically. Good reaction, love that you looked close at the lyrics. The only thing is that when you are speaking you are only in the left channel, then the music jumps in to both. With headphones on it's like getting smacked in the head 🤣🤣

What I love about an intellectual person like yourself is that you look further than the brutality that metal music is on the outside, and delve deep behind it all and finding the meaning and intent of the song. And that's the case of soooo many metal songs, the meaning of the lyrics are often so deep and they mean something, it's not just "hatehatekillkillkill" which, unfortunately is the general thought about the genre, especially from people not taking the time to actually listen and look att the lyrics. And of course, appreciate the f-ing amazing instrumental wizardry that's going on. Respect !

Great reaction. I like that you focused on the lyrics. Their lyrics are quite meaningful, deep, and poetic. Tatiana puts a lot of effort into them. She writes about 90% of the lyrics. Eugene (bassist) also helps sometimes. He helped a little on Pisces and wrote the whole song for Dreadful Moments. This song is actually writing about itself. Tatiana was thinking about how people would react to the fusion of reggae and metal. They have been criticized by some "hardcore" "metal heads" for not being metal (which they themselves don't really claim - Eugene has said they aren't metal but they are extreme progressive music). I guess they have taken a fair amount of flak by the "hardcore" metal community about brining so many different sounds into metal. Anyway, this song can also apply to a lot of situations where we have prejudice and judgements about something we don't understand and are closed minded. Most of their lyrics can have multiple layers of application. I noticed Lisa Grand reacted to Teacher, Teacher and Therry Thomas reacted to Pisces, so someone needs to checkout Perennial (live at Wacken 2019) :). Also I Speak Astronomy is awesome as well. Honestly, all their songs are great for many different reasons. Can't go wrong just picking one and checking it out. Here's a list for reference: Here's a list of best quality videos I can find on KZbin (all official videos from Napalm Records or Jinjer Metal Band themselves or official release from a festival) from Cloud Factory LP to Macro LP (in order of older to newer): If I included a link to the music video and the live performance, it's because both are great videos for different reasons. Why is the sound only coming out of the left channel? I don't want to skip the video but I don't know how much more I can listen to this in one year.

There is a fantastic Ukrainian folk-metal band singing in Ukrainian, called MOtanka (they are also signed up by Napalm records, like Jinjer). Their video Verba is a masterpiece and the visuals are fantastic as well: they were able to tell in a very profound way about Golodomor (the genocide by artificial famine in 1932-33) and more of Ukrainian history. You seem to like meaningful songs, so you will be impressed. (Motanka- is a fabric folk doll, seen in the video, which is supposed to protect happiness and well being of the owner).

What a refreshingly intelligent reaction to this song. These are particularly strong lyrics imho, & it's great to see them being appreciated. Personally, I find it extra wild for lyrical content of this calibre to be coming from someone for whom English is a 3rd language (they're from the war-torn, Russian-speaking, Donbass in eastern Ukraine- so Russian, Ukrainian, then English!) #SuperImpressive All 4 of them are excellent at what they do tho, & I got into them at first *despite* the extreme vocals- their technicality, with epic multi-movement structure, & brain-engaging timings & syncopation somehow without losing groove (which I assume is just plain witchcraft!).... what's not to like?! I suppose when your drummer is a (high-IQ & easily bored) classically trained pianist to trade, you can expect something that's not just run-of-the-mill from your band! LOL :)

Hello, great reaction to the song, style and lyrics. Enjoyed your commentary. Subbed. Another song with lyrics that I think will intrigue you is Perennial. Please do the live at Wachen version. Who's gonna be the one, Live Napalm records is a great example of her energy. Just another, official video napalm records great groove. Retrospection, official video Napalm records. She starts in her native language. Very beautiful. Sorry couldn't help but throw a few at you. :) The musicianship of all the members are awesome, this 4 piece band is meant to be together. Thank you for your time!

lol. That was an Awsome reaction. Welcome to Jinjer. There Lyrics are amazing, but you already know that. if you decide to react to the song Home Back you need to do a little homework. You need to understand the Geopolitics of Eastern Ukrane and its Anexation by Russia and the continuing war over the past decade. This is where they are from and if you understand that then the song itself is a gut punch. I have never gotten chills to a song untill i listed to Home Back. Enjoy your Jinjer journy and welcome my friend.

I've most likely watched well over 100 reactions to Jinjer & this was one of the best ............... by far. Sadly I only subscribe when a channel reacts to BAND-MAID. The best "hard rock" band I've heard in almost 30yrs. I'll be back for more Jinjer though.
