When I came across them accidentally 3 years ago, after a lifetime of following the rock world, I said THIS IS IT! Soon I had listened to everything they had done and have never been disappointed in a single song. I’ve had to travel to see them the last couple years, and am getting ready to go to Mexico for 2 shows next week. Best rock band on the planet? That’s no exaggeration.

I'm in my 70's and I've experienced it all from Elvis, to The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, etc. and you are absolutely right. The Warning is the best rock band in the world today! They are excellent musicians. All three can sing. They write creative, catchy songs. I have yet to find a bad song from their repertoire. And when they perform live, The Warning takes total command of the stage. I'm hoping that 2025 will finally give me the opportunity to see them live.

I drove 2 hours & got a hotel to see them live at an 1100-seat venue in Detroit back in September. 10/10 would do again. If they come anywhere near you, go. It seems cliche at this point, but live truly is their superpower!

TW just announced they are playing at a 5 day music festival in the Czech Republic this summer. Playing on the last night, they are second only to Guns and Roses on the bill. Recommendations? Every fan of TW has to watch their 2017, 18.5 minute, 3 song TedX Concert at the University of Nevada. Watch the whole thing, as great as the music is, the way they address the crowd between songs ( in their second language) just draws you in and makes you want to support them. The way, then 12 year old, Ale eloquently talks about the connection between Love and Trust gets me every time.

Welcome to The Warning! People must remember, when Phil Collins played live as a solo act or with Genesis, Chester Thompson played drums live, and Phil didn't play much drums when singing. And people like Don Henley and Levon Helm sang while playing very simple drum beats. Paulina started singing and playing drums at the same time, when she was 7, so it has always been natural for her. Ale is the shy one of the 3, but her facial expressions speak volumes. Dany is just plain Wonder Woman live! These sisters are Future Legends!

Both of these songs are from "Queen of the Murder Scene," a concept album about a young woman’s descent into obsession, murder, and madness, released in 2018 when Ale was 13, Pau was 16, and Dany was 18. "Dust to Dust," the opening track and part of the prologue, introduces themes of life, death, and deception, with the protagonist warning of how quickly things can spiral. "Dull Knives (Cut Better)," the 9th track and part of Chapter 3, depicts her growing despair and self-harm as her evil side takes control, leaving her emotionally shattered and consumed by darkness.

The bare bones story about the band is when they were really young Dany and Paulina loved to play Rock Band the video game. Ale was too young to play and just watched. They loved the game so much they wanted to learn the real instruments. Ale joined in learning the bass a couple years later (she originally wanted to learn the harp lol) and when they realized they had the instruments needed for a band they decided to play together. Their parents weren't musical, but they did do things like watch rock concerts on video together as a family.

The Villarreal sisters are all three highly intelligent, eloquent, and have a very strong work ethic. They found music when they were very young, and they have parents with both the means and the love to help them in any way, and from the moment that all three sisters wanted the same, you can basically say it’s just like growing up in a family of musicians - just with the exception that the parents don’t play instruments themselves. But they saw to the musical education of their children through others, and in Monterrey, they are well connected to the local scene. But if they hadn’t discovered music, you can be sure that the parents would also have given them the opportunity to succeed. It’s just good luck for us that they chose music.
@reactionsaccount39558 күн бұрын
Their parents are not musicians, but are true music lovers, so the girls grew up listening to classical music, AC/DC, Muse, Pink Floyd, Queen, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc. They send them to a musical camp when they were very young and the girls loved it, so they put Dany at 6 and Pau at 4 into piano lessons, Ale was only 1, so she started a few years later, then they bought the video game Rock Band, which the girls loved playing and that gave them the dream of performing live, so Dany asked her parents if she could learn guitar and their father Luis saw that Paulina had great coordination on the plastic drum kit of Rock Band, so he offered to buy her a drum kit and pay for lessons, then Ale a few years later picked up the bass and the rest is history.

You really should react to the TEDx talk that they gave in 2017, it is excellent and it gives a really good insight into the band’s philosophy. The three songs they play aren’t half bad either and the last one is a song that has created many a “The Warning Army” member.

If you want to get a better understanding of how the band came to be, watch their Mayday in the Making videos. There are 6 in all and there's a playlist of them on their channel. The second video gives a brief overview of how they started playing music and then form the band. As far as Ale's abilities on the bass go, she can smirk all she wants because her and her sisters are insanely talented and work very hard all the time to constantly improve. You should check her out covering Muse's Hysteria when she was younger, if you really want to be impressed. She also crushes the baseline on their cover of You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette. Keep on rocking and you've been warned!!

You are right. While their parents are not musicians they are music lovers & they did bring them up with musical appreciation. They put them in summer school music appreciation programs (which DPA loved, offered them classical piano lessons (which DPA loved. Pau is still a HUGE classical music fan), family movie night was always dads DVDs of old Elton John, Billy Joel, Queen, Pink Floyd, etc concerts (David Gilmour ‘Comfortably Numb’ Pulse tour is one of Dany’s defining moments). & of course when they got the Rock Band video game… the die was cast.

You mention AC/DC. I 💯 put them in that category. Their music is just built for arena & stadium shows just like AC/DC. Epic riffs & sing-along lyrics. (I’m not leaving this world without seeing “The Warning live @ River Plate”) & yet The Warnings lyrics are deep & meaningful like the world rarely sees these days. Wait till you see 8000 people singing ‘Martirio’ & just imagine it at 10x.

In every concert by TW I have attended, I noticed that all cohorts are represented: from little children (like my daughter, who was 6-yo the first time we went), also many 30's - 40's like myself, and even guys at their 60's or older. I have seen grandpas, with their big bellies and white beards, singing at the top of their loungs as if they were 20 again. Only truly great rock musicians can do that. Many families attend and we will do it again this Feb. 11th, when they will play one of three concerts at the National Auditorium in Mexico City - one of the most important venues of Latin America. Right now they are announcing the 2025 tour dates for Europe so please go. You will not regret it.

I discovered this band earlier this year laying in a hospital bed. I was bored to tears and i had asked some random commenter if he knew of *any* rock bands putting out new songs. He said The Warning and down the rabbit hole i went. They amaze me. My first concert was Deep Purple in 74. Since then i saw the best rock had to offer. I worked many shows in the mid 80s. But by 90 i was done. I listened to some new bands but rock was dieing. The best i had seen for energy and inviting to crowd? Early U2..Bono could control the crowd like he hypnotized them. The Warning has that stage presence. They own the crowd as only a great band can. Simply amazing talent. Especially so young. I know i will have great rock until i leave this earth now.
@jackstorm56498 күн бұрын
While their parents were not themselves musicians, their father did work as a sound engineer at a recording studio in Monterrey. This was a big help when the girls started playing because he knew a lot of the local musicians and that's who they got for their rock instrument teachers. They already had some basic music theory all having started playing classical piano from an early age. I'm sure they will tour Europe again, if you had found them a little earlier they toured Europe last year. So when you do Enter Sandman you should know there are 2 different versions. First is their straight cover from when they were kids. The second one is from the Metallica blacklist album with Alessia Cara. While I normally suggest live versions of their songs for that one I would go with the music video because they can't reproduce it properly without Alessia.

All of them had classical piano training beginning at age 3 or so. They used to watch recorded concerts with their parents when they were young. Their parents bought them the game Rock Band, and that is how they became interested in the current instruments. Pau started on drums around 5 years old. Dany started with guitar around age 7. Ale began bass around age 7 or 8. Each of them had lessons and mentors over the formative years. They didn't consider forming a band until Dany was around 13, Pau was 11 and Ale was 8. They officially began performing shows as The Warning in 2013. They recorded their first EP a couple of years later and their first album a couple of years after that. Besides piano, Dany and Ale also play saxophone, though they haven't used the instrument in any of their original songs. Each of them has composed a song on their own but usually, they compose together as a group. Pau starts off the process on a piano or a MIDI keyboard and according to her, most everything starts off as a ballad. She plays her demo for her sisters and the three of them "warningfy" it.

Hi, actually when they started playing as a band they had each been practicing their instrument for 6 years, more or less. It would be good if you reacted to the mini documentary Tidal Rising the warning, it is their story from when they started playing piano, almost from the cradle, to the recording of their third album "Error", told by themselves, it lasts only 20 minutes. and we, the army, will be here to see it again with you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWjMgnpmqsxnfqssi=jLIZkEzzAvZTamt8 Greetings from Argentina. ⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘

They started as classically trained pianists around 4 yrs of age and when their parents bought them the video game ROCK BAND they loved it so much and that is when they became obsessed with learning their current instruments. Ale was only 3 yrs old then, Pau 6 and Dany was 8. Ale was only about 9 or 10 when they released their first EP (Escape The Mind) which they wrote and composed themselves. It's mind boggling that they have been writing and composing one amazing song after another since that age and I have yet to hear a bad song. They released 4 albums since that EP and only the last two were done as a signed band with LAVA Records.

as a reactor you will find it hard to get away from them as they have the knack of making you want to hear their catalog 1 after another so you can add to your personal playlist. I re-found them at the very start of the pandemic in 2020 and it was their song Survive at TedX that hooked me and I realized I had seen their cover of Enter Sandman from 2014 and was amazed how they grew in just a few short years. All 3 feed off each other on stage and love performing as you can see by their stage presence. But to see Pau sing and drum the way she does is bloody amazing! Their song Dull Knives is what got the attention of Lzzy Hale of Halestorm when they played it for a online concert during the pandemic, and she said on stream she wants to take them on tour when it was safe to do so and she kept her word and took them on a 20+ city tour across the US in 2022and She even gave Dany the white Gibson Explorer you will see her play in some of the live shows you are going to see soon enough.
