What can you even say? Floor and the band speaks for itself. They don't perform "songs" they perform a musical journey that will wrap you up in an emotional tide, and pull you this way and that, and you will cry, shout, feel elation, and in the end, you will beg for more. She and the band are amazing. Thank you for your reaction to the vids, and much love from America.

This is truly a masterpiece. Another commenter had this to say: . This is what the composer/keyboardist of Nightwish, Tuomas Holopainen, has said about this song: "This is the most personal song I’ve ever written. My testimony for the whole world. With this song I want to apologise everyone who deserves my apology. It also makes an “I don’t care” -statement to them who deserve it. The song is also about what Nightwish means and has meant to me. It’s all, without it I’m dead. I have created it and it has created me. When I pass away, this song’s lyrics are of what I wish to be remembered. An Ocean Soul". And then there's Floor. This is the most emotional performance I have yet seen from her. She feels all of the passion, sorrow, despair, longing and even anger in every note of this epic piece. She sings right into your soul and then utterly wrecks it. It hits so hard. If this doesn't have tears streaming down your face, then you have no understanding and no soul.

The look on your face at the end of the video said it all. I like the way you do your videos. You really listen and see everything. No silly interruptions every 20 seconds to say how much you feel about the song. I hate those reaction videos that do that. There is nothing real about it. If I pause the song every few seconds, then I don't feel anything from the song. They are all liars to me. Fooling their audience and they can be fooled too. Your facial expressions say everything and you write down your thoughts. I think that's great. Your reserved nature, normal for me, makes it honest for me. Not these guys who behave in front of the camera as if they hadn't swallowed their pills or drank too much coffee. For me they are all actors. Stay the way you are Keep it up. Ps: I realize sometimes there is no other way than pausing music because of copyrights. But I think the pauses can also be edited in retrospect if videos have been blocked.
@EllenbergW4 жыл бұрын
While I agree that there are many that, IMO, needlessly pause, there are some where this isn't the case. TankTheTech, Julia Nilon or Chase Carneson come to mind, where I am _totally_ fine with pausing. P.s. As far as I understand it, pausing will do jack s**t with re. to copyright claims. If you have more than 10 or 15 seconds in your vid and the publisher/label wants to claim it, he will. We are just lucky that Napalm Records and Nightwish are _very_ supportive of reactors and are some of the few who actually get that those videos are like free advertisement (like most (looking at you, Nintendo) of the gaming industry came to understand with streamers) - I mean, I came across Nightwish, Brothers of Metal and Powerwolf recently due to watching the above mentioned reactors and have now a whole stack of their CDs, DVDs and Blue Rays sitting on my shelf over there as well as my ticket to Nightwish's "An Evening with Nightwith in a Virtual World" event in March. LOL, I better stop now or I'll be rambling about the stupidity of most publishers/labels for hours on end :)

Glad you chose this song! I"ll comment after I see your reaction. For Tarja, react to "The Phantom of the Opera" Helsinki 2005! Edit And thanks for the one who suggested this song. Tuomas, the keyboardist, a.k.a. Metal Mozart composes, writes lyrics to and arranges vast majority of Nightwish songs, staging too. I like this song more and more every time I see a new reaction to it. It is not the most reacted to Nightwish song. I would like you to react to "I Want My Tears Back" from this same Buenos Aires 2018 concert. The title of the video says 2019, it has created confusion among some reactors. Despite the title it is a happy song and performance. I think you need to see that side of Nightwish too. If you cry they will be happy tears. The Argentinian crowd is like no other. They go crazy. Gives me goosebumps. And you would hear Troy, the multi-instrumentalist from the UK, playing the Uilleann pipes, the Irish bag pipe, giving folky, Celtic vibes. I liked your reaction, once again. Greetings from Helsinki 🇫🇮

I want to add one thing about Nightwish fans. NightDreamers' Reacticide on Discord has now about 4 200 members, the number is growing steadily, and they are very active. Most of the time close to 1 000 present, the chat just reached 2,5 million messages. I don't know when the whole thing started, but it was not too long ago. I wish you would have known Ann Waycoff, "the mother" of The Nightwish family, community. I did not get to know her very well. She found Nightwish at the age of 61 and died at the age of 65 earlier this year. "Song of Myself" was her favorite Nightwish song. Her love for Nightwish and her love and support for all Nightwish reactors, especially the new ones, was unbelievable. If she sensed there was something wrong with a reactor she always offered to help no matter what the problem was. Not to mention the info she gave about Nightwish in her comments, the role now taken care of by Gabriel.

Your reactions are great, very authentic and heartfelt. I deeply appreciate you allowing the song to play with no interruptions, thank you!! You might like to react to Storytime from Wacken 2013. A good one for you to experience ANOTHER 😁 style of their music. Enjoy!!

Again you gave a very thankful reaction. And you are not only thankful because I watched and heart you, but you are very thankful to the band and Floor. Nightwish a lot of other songs, you know that I presume. I suggest "Sleeping sun" and "The pet and the pendulum". You look well and intern steady, keep it that way. I wish you all the best. Another beautiful song by Nightiwsh. Have to catch up a lot of songs they have produced during the phase where I did not listen to their music.

I love your comments, spot on. And by the way, After 60 years, I finally find the best musicians and female singer in one band.

Thank you for your emotional reaction! You definitely should try Deep Silent Complete( Live In Buenos Aires 2018) - it`s very light, melodic and beatiful song

Great reaction, Sabina! I love your very insightful comments. I think you might enjoy "Song of Myself" from the Wacken 2013 concert. I also suggest "Pan" from their new album.

Sabina, I don't know if you are aware, Tuomas uses several styles for referring to himself in the the songs, poet of course, writer, dreamer and especially boy as he's said before, he had such a happy and fulfilled childhood, so the boy is Tuomas. I think this is his self-written epitaph, what he wants to say to us after his death, the lyrics somewhat fit this. Oceanborn, remember he was studying to be a marine biologist and he has a great affinity for the ocean, which also comes up quite frequently. The swans are important in Finnish culture, they are the vehicles that carry people to the afterlife, see also The Swan of Tuonela by Sibelius. Yep, Floor absolutely nails it, as ever. Marko often plays the double neck, he is a Warwick endorser and this is a Warwick/Framus Infinity/Panthera guitar, as you hear, he has the 6 string set up to sound like an acoustic instrument. I really liked your reaction, than you.

The first time I heard this song, it got stuck in my head and when around all day with her voice singing this song. It is a journey, and a fun one. DEVIL AND THE DEEP DARK OCEAN, marco and Floor go after each other in this song. Marco is the devil and Floor is the mermaid SAME CONCERT UNBELIEVABLY GOOD, CHECK IT OUT. GREAT REACTION.

"Flustered by Floor" moments: 3:14 chills 6:18 lip bite And basically the entire final 2 minutes of the performance. Not to mock or anything. As I said in the GLS reaction video, I get it. We get it. Highly relatable.
