I love how much Kirstie has matured both as a singer AND a songwriter (she and Matt wrote this one, along with the album producers Dan Book and Matthew Koma). I also love how many songs she got to write on this album, further adding to my belief that she is really starting to take over this group. Hey, we always knew she had it in her!

I also agree with you and your opinion!! Matt's abilities are so underrated as is Kevin. They are the peas and carrots to the green beans that us Pentatonix!!
@mikeparker68213 жыл бұрын
@@pattis2641 Matt is exceptional. I've always thought that Kevin is the anchor of the group as their songs revolve around what he can do and Kirstie is the driver. Whether she's doing background or leads that voice can't be missed.

Their musical fluency is so evident. They can nail the exact balance of arrangement, melody, lyrics, etc. to all complement each other perfectly. And the chord structure on this? I can’t even. They’re so sick.

Very different indeed. The wordplay was hauntingly sung and so well written. “I want you to stay I want you to say You want me to stay I want you to say For always”

Sublime lead by Kirsten and equally sublime harmonies that reach right into your soul. Wonderful. This whole album is just fantastic!

I love that they won’t be put in a little box. True artists. All artists should feel free to go where they want. I remember when Sting left The Police, his fans were horrified and then he puts out a jazzy album... and since then so many other styles even wrote a Broadway show. Artists change, we all change and arts should reflect that. I’m still with PTX on their amazing journey. I just love them so. 🤗

As I went through the album the 1st time this was my favorite....until I got to It's Different Now. I love them both and am just blown away at the growth and maturity this album brings.

It's taken me a few listens to the whole album to 'get' some of the songs. It's a new vibe from them this time around. I'm liking the songs more as I listen more. The writing is incredible in all of the album. They truely are artists.

I’m so in love with PTX and in awe of their potential. With five brilliant, multi-instrument singer-musicians, the possibilities are infinite. Not forgetting the hidden talent behind the 5 in the form of Bram and others! This and “Never gonna cry again” are my favorites from this album. I connected with both immediately! There’s so much more to come from these guys. Thanks for posting.

This song is such a vibe. The lyrics are simple and complex at the same time and that arrangement and then when the beat comes in...YAAAAAAS. I LOVE THIS ONE

Wow, that intro was really impressive lol. I'm so glad that you're getting the subscribers you deserve. Pentatonix's harmonies are like no other, their group is just like no other. Their talent is unmatchable, even though there are other A Cappella groups Pentatonix has the most subscribers for a reason. Loved your reaction as always, and once again, you really deserve all these subscribers.

I find that with alot of their songs, it does me well to always listen to them over and over, cause each time I do I get more out of it and then love them even more. There is so much under the surface of their music you have to listen to them over and over.

That’s how I was with this song. It took me a while to warm up to it. I can’t relate to it and it’s so different than most other songs they’ve ever done. But it’s become one of my favorites on the album. 😊

This song has clearly a touch of Kirstin's previous solo works.

I love this song. It is so moving but not in a haunting way just in a memorable one. It is so mellow and beautiful. They said in an interview that they really tried to do deeply personal songs on this album and they are very proud of the end result as they should be. The album is amazing and so are they.

It's nice to hear her take the lead, not just for a part of a song. It's rare for any member to have the lead for a whole song, more especially rare for her. It wouldn't have made as much sense for any of the others, with this song. Pointing out signs is more a guy thing to do. They could've had Mitch take the lead, but it would have been harder for most people to make the association. She did a fantastic job.

I can relate to it, which is weird. This type of "relationship theme" is not one I've heard referenced in the typical fare from the music industry, but boy did I ever go through a very traumatizing relationship like this! I desperately wanted the song to click for me instantly because I needed a song for what I went through.. music is a big part of the whole "coming to terms" process.. but it just didn't click at first. After a few listens through the album it finally got it's hooks in me! 😊 You had some good insight there!

It's not Mitch on lead vocals it's Kirstin, people get mixed up because their voices are so alike.
@marykuettner7523 жыл бұрын
Listen carefully, it is clearly Kirstin.
@oliviamurphy94823 жыл бұрын
Kirstin's voice is a little more bright and clear than Mitch. She also has a very unique vibrato, it's much quicker. Mitch has a more fluid sound, a little more nasal, but very pure. She's a lyric soprano so her lows are less rounded than his if you pay attention.
