I heard AWB sing this song in the dark ages and I was hooked. Then life happened and I had to grow up. Well finally I retired and kiddos grew up and are on their own. I am a huge fan of KZbin and came across AWB singing “If I … Heaven” and listened to it non stop. I decided to search the song and discovered YOU. You are the bomb!!!!! To Vi and Gary - what a pleasure to spend time with people who value/honor/love the now. Nearly inexpressible in words alone, perception of the "now" is reachable in music through honestly, humility, and a willingness to become an instrument of something greater. Gary, So glad you are using your show and platform to help Vi get some well deserved recognition and introduction to music lovers. Like many the first time I heard "If I Ever Lose This Heaven" let me preface by saying I'm a professional saxophonist in the New Orleans area so for someone to become a favorite for me, I'm discerning and being surrounded by great music all the time, it takes a lot to knock my socks off. Vi's singing gave me goosebumps, made me weep and gave me elation and I probably watched and listened to that video 20 times that day. Finding out more about her personally with your interview...I have even greater love and respect for her, her craft, her talent, her energy. In addition I've had contact with Scott Mayo the saxophonist....you know that entire group on that session, there is an organic joy, loving energy, positive vibe. He is also someone special and I love seeing good people with great hearts sharing like they do. There is a soothing, healing factor to everything they are putting out there in sound and musical vibrations. She is already great but I wish her and you too much more recognition, compensation, reward. This young lady deserves the stardom she works diligently and hard for. Be Well.

Somewhere sandwiched in the middle of this audio challenged interview (seriously Vi and Gary, that should have been fixed before 50 minutes of fun, interesting and informative interview was recorded... 😞), yes, sandwiched in the middle of this video is one of the greatest songs/videos I've seen in recent memory.
