Hard to believe but the number of flowers doubled at the closing ceremony. The Official that was having pictures taken brought Dimash in with him and told them to remember his face because he was the one they would be chasing after before much longer. I loved it!

The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash

I heard an A#5/Bb5 as well when he rose up. E5 with glissando up to Bb5. Though I could be wrong. My voice tuning app is always correct for me, but sometimes it's a little shaky.

I have watched this 100+ times and I'm still speechless. I have a self-imposed rule when I watch a new video. No stopping. It's a sign of respect for the artist. That rule (and my decorum) went out the window for this performance... carried away by a tornado named Dimash. I actually paused the video and THREW my phone (not just once, but twice). Dropped it like it was hot and I'd just been burnt. Swearing was also involved (more than twice). ??? what was that??... pause.... REWIND.... play... he'd throw another bomb 💣....@#$% pause.... REWIND.... play and over again. It took about 1/2 hour to get through the song just once. I STILL don't what to call that thing he does with his voice. I have never heard anything like it. I wrote to Dimash on his KZbin channel and told him he blew our collective minds, then asked him if he was trying to blow us off the planet. I think he damn near did. Judging by every comment I've read, we're still shook up days later and it shows no sign of letting up. NOPE, NOT HAPPENING. If he ever does that to us again (oh Lord, he just might!!! Hi I'm 64 years old and I love him so much he is a star in the people's eyes and all over the world he does not need to prove it to anyone. He made it big already and everything he says and does. He's so humble and his emotions that he brings out through his face and hands and his body language tells it all. I seem to cry every time I hear him sing, if I was a young girl I would ask one thing from him and that is to kiss him on his eyes when he closes them. I tried to get all of my family to listen to him you don't have to understand his language you can feel it through your soul. I tell you people this man is a gift from heaven to all of us.

Originally they are from Kazakhstan, but they live and work in Russia for many years! They are very popular and have many beautiful songs! The guy that was playing keyboards is a songwriter! The music to ‘Sinful passion’ was written by him, but words by famous Russian poet!
