I played cello in my younger years and I am soo thrilled to see him bring such a classical instrument to the forefront of this style of music. He is soo hella talented. He's truly gifted. WOW. This just leaves you speechless!!

Hi Marco and Ali. I was wondering when you would find this one. It absolutely blew me away the first time I saw it...still does. I wish you would react to Kevin playing the saxophone when he was in high school in the video Live at Carnegie Hall. It is fantastic and shows another side of his musical skill. Have you guys heard of Triptyq? They're a musical trio consisting of Kevin, singer/composer Antoniette Costa, and violinist/pianist Tara Kamanger. They've made a handful of amazing songs together, blending classical sounds with modern sounds. I highly recommend checking out some of their stuff as well, to see yet another dimension of Kevin's talent and musicality. :)

He is Kevin Olusula - the beat boxer/singer and sometimes composer/arranger of Pentatonix. If you've watched any of MAP reactions to PTX you've seen Kevin. He is amazing. Simply amazing.

FYI: He was first runner up in the Yo Yo Ma Cello competition and was invited to play Carnegie Hall for cello AND sax in successive years. What he was doing he created and dubbed "celloboxing". He also speaks 6 languages including Mandarin. He appeared on live morning show in China without a translator after living there 3 months.

He is an alien. Humans just can't do this kind of stuff. Since you guys don't play the cello, one of the most incredible things he did in this one, besides celloboxing, is called double and I think triple bowing. Can I just mention playing the cello is actually Kevin's most highest praised talent. Sure us pentaholics know him for his beat box role. But in the classical world his name is said in the same sentence as Yoyo Ma. If you don't know who that is ask a Chinese person... If they don't know ask their mom. He's actually the authority on cello beatboxing. You know when you're good at something and you get compared to some ridiculous person who has 10x more talent? Anyone who watched this and thinks I've seen someone better... KO doesn't know what that's like cause he's the best. 🔥🔥🔥
