I think one of the reason they haven’t capitalized off her popularity with a undeniable hit is because she’s signed to another artist’s label, Parkwood which is Beyoncé’s label. I like Beyoncé’s artistry and longevity, so don’t come after me hive. There’s this unspoken rule that an artist should never sign to another artist label, because they will never let you get higher than them, and Beyoncé is actively putting out music thus making Chlöe competition or the lack of due to B pulling the strings. I’m not saying that B has ill intentions, but it’s not a smart idea. Her sister has already started to take more on acting as of right now. Just look at all the promising artists who signed to another artist’s label, and see how long they stayed on the scene. Jay-z even felt some type of way(mentioned in his verse on Boss by him and Beyoncé), because Drake wouldn’t sign to his label which I think was smart on Drake’s part.

(Columbia) If Matthew was still working with her over at Parkwood and helping Chloe's career she in fact would be Beyonce's heir apparent. The artist-signed-to-other-artists critique doesn't really work because look at Drake/Nicki under Wayne, Meek/Wale under Ross, Lil Baby under Thugga, etc. I don't think Bey actually knows how to bring a new artist of the modern era of R&B in like that. Her father would've done the knowledge and had a better strategy/game plan for it. Chloe's music sounds the way it does because she made it a point to make her first album flow right in amongst her contemporaries (songs about dealing with heartbreak and fuckboys, being the baddest, overtly freaky both lyrically and visually in her videos, etc.) such as SZA, Summer Walker, Jhene Aiko and the likes. She didn't want to be looked at as the "good girl" of R&B because she wants to eventually be the next "queen" of the genre and in this age the title really doesn't even exist anymore in the way it used to....

Couldn't take the video seriously once he called Taylor Swift a great vocalist, when she's quite the epitome of an "alright" singer. And I'll say, as a Rihanna stan who knows how to keep it real, she is a good singer, she's just inconsistent. She never swore by lipsyncing, only loud backing vocals, and you'll know so because the sole reason people say she can't sing is because of performances where her mic is ON, as it always is. And since years ago, it became the norm to say that she can't sing, they either keep it mute when she does good or slap the "lipsyncing" label on it to avoid from giving props.
