Well there's a difference between support range and whole range .. I have a low speaking voice but can't support a d3 cause my sung voice is higher. If I based myself just on apps i' d never know i'm a high tenor I used to sing like a baritone with backwards resonance made a long journey to sing high tenor but that's just my natural placement
@BulletproofVendetta6 жыл бұрын
This was really interesting/informative! Personally, I don't have a lot of interest in singing techniques and stuff (if I try to sing my voice does that thing where it sounds like someone's holding my nose and i noticed my voice does that when I just just /talk/ so I think my voice is just doomed to sound like that lol) but I still really enjoy how you explain things!

Don’t worry, your just going more mouth heavy which can be changed, the opposite for example would be nasal like the french in “Un bon vin blanc” so it’s just about finding a balance and is not that hard to find, it’s gonna take longer to train your self to keep doing it and making it a habit but is 100% learnable!

@@KosieRosie Well he actually says you can do it free and right, it will just take more time. It takes more time to find good vocal techniques that work for you, and you have no one to correct you on the spot so it's going to be a bigger learning curve. Not impossible though. There are many singers that only took coaching lessons way later in their career.

First off, I'm NOT a coach or remotely classical trained. Just a guy who's done (and continues to do) what you describe because I'm far too broke to afford a coach, but all I want out of my life is to sing on a stage. I've been at it for around five years. I'm now finally being courted as the frontman for a local alternative/punk band, and it's the first time I've tried to do anything performance-related outside of mildly drunk karaoke. It takes serious desire, which usually comes with a will to work hard and dedicate to the craft (to various extents depending on the person). It takes serious patience and objectivity as well. Learn from multiple sources and compare.. almost everyone is "wrong" about something when they're blanket teaching an anonymous pupil. Every teacher will tailor their lessons for the sound they hear coming from you. If you want to do it "right", or "mostly right" as I've seemed to progress, without paying one money, you must pay many of them a LOT of your time. And sing. AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T FEEL WRONG, sing all the freakin' time. It will help with your breathing if you can begin to incorporate proper technique into everything you sing. It will also help with lung capacity (as long as you're using those muscles) and help hone your ability to "belt" without using a ton of power. But DON'T HURT YOURSELF! If it doesn't feel right, it almost CERTAINLY isn't! Sometimes it's dangerous even when it doesn't FEEL dangerous; so if your voice FEELS strained, weak, or rougher than usual... don't sing! Try not to even talk loudly until it feels normal again or you may cause permanent damage. 100%... my advice is to hire a coach. A coach with proper training, care for YOU, and who can demonstrate their ability to sing for you. If that's not an option, you can take the long road to success... or the short road to an operating table.

( NOT ANY KIND OF SINGER 8D )SUUUUPER late here, but I think he should watch "Sister Act 2". I THINK that the repetition of the scales that they do in that movie while doing those breathing techniques would probably help with his breath control...again, just my own hunch 8D I'm not rich enough to pay for singing lessons, so I'd do what he's doing XD but I'd do significantly more research than he did (more than just a couple videos). I'd search "Breath technique for singing", "How to produce 'chest/head' voice". I'd then go looking through youtube for possibly obscure things that I wouldn't have any idea about, not knowing how to sing properly, searching information about the throat and singing. I'd also search information about the mouth, and "Mask" I've heard it called, and how to get the sounds I want by changing how my face, jaw, and tongue work in concert. (I've watched a bunch of TSS videos, so I have some of the Jargon, even if I don't know what it all means.) Then again, I bought a Mandolin about a year ago...maybe I should just learn to play that first? XD Goodnight!

@SpaceboyBilliards6 жыл бұрын
Songs are engineered to be so perfect with little variation in pitch. When I sing normally into an auto tune program, it says my pitch is moving around rapidly within a single note even though in my head, it sounds like a consistent pitch. That might be that singer's problem. Hard to adjust to the difference in hesring and feeling without an in person coach.
