In his late teens, an already veteran of the game, Mike had explained to his record label guy that if you get stuck on pronunciation of the words in a song, you can lose out on the emotion of it. Mike rarely played by the rules. I guess that’s why he was able to become that legendary. Nice reaction ❤️ I love these acapellas

just lean in your emotion and feeling thats what great singers like MJ do, you can feel the emotion through his singing and the music just intensifies that.

It's crazy just watching someone who's arguably the best at what they do just excel at their craft. Michael is seemlessly navigating the studio process, his vocal abilities, and his 'performance' of the song effortlessly when for many of us it would be a nearly impossible task at his level. He also did this in the 80's on physical tape which was much harder to edit than in 2023+

I actually disagree with you about MJ’s pronunciation,MJ said actually in the 1970’s that if you pronounce everything so precisely it takes away the soul from your vocal performance and MJ actually isn’t sloppy with his pronunciation at all he’s very clear whenever he vocalizes try his songs Childhood,You Are Not Alone,Human Nature,Rock With You etc. it’s just some songs he takes on a different style of singing perfect example is Smooth Criminal on that track he sings in “Staccato” so it mainly just shows how versatile MJ truly is he’s truly Thee Greatest Singer/Vocalist Of All Time!✍🏽👑🎯💯

@@mightymuchachoarmylpmitkev5946 Yea, a very safe call. There have been uncountable vocally talented people over the years. A successful pop singer certainly being a great vocalist doesn't mean that there aren't any lesser known superior talents. And there are, objectively, more talented people out there. People with at least as much musical intuition, wider vocal range, more dynamic finesse, and other vocal skills that MJ didn't even know about. I'm not saying he is not great, I'm simply stating there are always greater people.

For Billie Jean there were over 90 takes of his voice recorded. In the end they used take 2 of those 91. So in the end, already the second take was perfect.

The way this vocal coach is telling us how Michael was supposed to sing is what Michael did as a child. he mastered his voice as a child to sing the way vocal coaches wanted him to sing. When Michael got older he transformed his self into an artist that would set him apart from other artists. he added major charisma and swag to his style of singing. Michael basically put that talk that fly shit on tracks in ya pimp voice into effect separating him from other singer and granting him millions of records sold and lady and men fainting at the site of him . Mike had th biggest swag when it came to singing at that time . Why u think his new style was a surprise to everyone when he first performed the song he new he had mastered the art of singing in a way no one would . Care free pimp talk singing 💯💯💯I’m pretty sure before he started singing like this he felt like he wasn’t being him to the fullest and when he embraced it from countless hours of training and singing and learning from other great artist eventually a new style was born and it was called MJ and to this day it’s practice by singers ever where .

Side note: I have a little black and white cat that my niece found the night Michael died. She was only about six months old. She was pregnant and starved. She named her Billy Jean. I thought it was a great ode to Michael. Both the Billy Jean and the black and white. I miss his music.

The King Of Music Truly The Greatest Music Artist To Ever Live Period!😇🙌🏽👑💖🔥✨(Those are called “Vocal Hiccups” that specific sound you’re hearing from MJ’s voice he’s the only one who can do that and make it sound so natural and cool if any other artist did that it would sound silly or just be very distracting but MJ is such a professional it became a signature of his btw MJ is one of only the few artist to have perfect pitch)

You can have a vocal coach until the end of time however you will never sound as good as Michael it's in the DNA. Also, black folks typically don't need vocal coaches as our soulful voice comes naturally.

Thank you for this. I hope you'll react to Michael Jackson's a cappella singing as a child. The KZbin list is "Pure Michael: Motown a acapella" I want you back @ 10 yrs old, , I'll be there @ 11 yrs , "Got to be there," and "never can say goodbye @ 12 yrs - "Ben" 14, through "Dancing Machine" at 21. His voice was both a blessing and a burden.

I’m a dedicated BTS ARMY but before them, I was, and still am, a devoted Michael Jackson fan. So it was wonderful to see your video. So unfortunate that tabloid scandals shadowed his immense talent. I really enjoy your BTS reactions also especially the ones to Jungkook singing on VLive. In my opinion, another extremely talented singer and performer.

Yeah, the tabloids really couldn't stand the man being so successful so were determined to ruin him even long before the false allegations. BTS are huge Jackson fans themselves. Often paying tribute in their songs and dances.
