Part of the problem with balance is shoes. When I have the proper arch support my balance is great but if I don’t have that support I am all over the place with balance. Great exercises. Thanks

This is the hardest exercise for me. I usually just try to do it with a counter in front of me or hold on very lightly with a fingertip to develop a longer time.

I'm 43 yrs old and had 4 c sections and don't have any core strength and don't have balance I feel really off so THANKS FOR THE INFO

I had a 12 hour back surgery where they cut me tummy button down then pulled all my guts out to realign my spine. Then they flipped me over and from the back replaced 4 discs. They cut out all my core strength, my balance, and even with physical therapy I’m not back to normal, BUT after decades of intense pain, I’m no longer in pain. I’ve been working on this on and off since December 2019, and I’m discouraged and want to be a good dancer again.

I had rectidiastasis while pg with my 2nd I think that adds to my imbalance/lack of ab muscles

I had to go see Dr about my pain in arms, neck, back knees. The VA stop giving Satin drugs and within 2 months I have no more of those pains. I will get pains from walking a lot, but I think it’s do to being tired.

If you add instruction to focus eyes on an eye-level point, I find this focus improves my balance. By focusing you are involving your whole body and perhaps improving muscle memory for balancing. I take this trick from yoga training.

3:30 wk 1: exercise #1 single leg balance as long as can, rt, lft 3:52 ex #2 heel & toe raises as hi as can, ^10-15 reps, 2-3x day 5:03 wk 2: continue ex #1 & 2, + ziggy-zaggies, move toes, both ft lft, den flip heels over fo ~6', dwn & bk ^3x, 2x day 7:16 Advanced: single leg ex on 2-3" hi cushion, ^30 seconds ea foot, 2-3x day 8:41 Maintenance: single leg exercises w/cushion + heel & toe raises, can do while🪥 teeth, wait 4 microwave heat up food 9:17 Keep ur balance 🚶🏽‍♀️& head up tall🧍🏽‍♀️

Love your videos, please post about wearing the right size shoes, I see people every day not being able to walk strong/balanced and I can see that their shoes are too tight/small.

The most helpful video both of you (Bob & brad) you make that are really good Easter and helpful . my father was Parkinson disease patient and have doing your pd related exercise every day . but recently my father face difficulty in walking and get fear for fall and leaning backward and whole body sweating and body mild tremor and shaking please make or suggest a new Parkinson exercise video then I will thank full both of you. (🇮🇳❤ from India)

But...at 78...what I want to do is play soccer...and fall whenever I want. I don't want to be afraid of using all the space in my enviroment...including the lowest horizontal one.

The problem is remembering how to fall without getting hurt. I am, at 73 and after going through a year of chemo, I have thought seriously about not being scared of falling. I ride horses.

If you can't maintain your balance on one leg for 30 seconds, you might want to readjust your goals.

Checking your blood pressure at home to be sure youre not over medicated. You may have white coat syndrome (your bp gets higher at the doctors office) and they might assume high blood pressure. If you are taking too much high blood pressure meds, that can cause blood pressure to lower too much and cause dizziness! Please check in with any loved ones who have dizziness issues and also lots of prescriptions. Just a simple at home bp cuff (which is good to have anyway). Then record the bp and share the results with the doctor. Hopefully, the doctor is open to adjusting medications.

May I recommend yoga? It's been very helpful for me. There are many senior classes. Water aerobics sounds good too, but i havent tried it yet. They both will help.

Brilliant information video - thank you! Any alternatives for people who have toe issues (e.g. arthritis in big toes), thus cannot go up on toes or use toes to move the feet in a zigzag way? maybe stationary stretches towards the wall forward?, ankle circles?, some sort of achilles heel stretches? Thank you for considering my questions.

Sir, I experienced two miscarriage in a row. After my second abortion till now I am suffering lot of pains (especially all tendons),. Also I have c4-c5 disc bulge and small lump in right shoulder (above clavicle and not grown in size, sometime I f ed let pain).
