A familiar trip, but that coastline is always lovely to watch as it slips by. I'm impressed by the camera stability on some of the coastal shots, what camera are you using and do you use a gimbal ?

Hi Dave - definitely one of my favourite bits of coast line in the UK. in terms of camera, I use a Fimi palm. It has its own gimbal and it is the perfect device for using on the boat. I fix it on with a mount, switch it on and leave it running. If you have watched any of my 'Raw & Uncut' series, they are the unedited footage off the Fimi palm. kzbin.info/aero/PLrvCV8EQKPwkzoRMHfQxOR8PdUfiHYqXP

Thanks for the info, I've just been looking at the palm 2 pro on the internet. I think I need one for Christmas :-)@@confidencesailing

Looked like the perfect sail. I did the same trip last September on what should have been an even nicer forecast, F4 NW. What I actually got was F6 W. It sounds like our tidal timing was very similar so I know I had wind over tide, but the sea looked a lot smoother for you. Can I ask if you were on neaps? I'm trying to work out what I did wrong in my planning. I have a video on KZbin if you want to see what I mean about the conditions.

Thanks for the comment Richard. I genuinely can't remember what the tide was doing, but it was slack water as I went over St. Alban's race.
