Sick. I’m a striker by nature. I am always trying to add some grappling to my game as it’s limited. I just do t enjoy it, but I understand it’s necessary for self protection and as a teacher who has students who trust and rely on me to to teach them effectiveness. This looks really fun to play around with! Thanks for shaking.

Very nice technique! The transition to the double/barzagar was money. When entering the single, I learned while training in Iowa to drive into the person so their weight goes onto their other foot. This drastically increases the effectiveness of a good single leg. (But that makes it hard to show the transition.)

That's a sick move! In Sanda when we're having a hard time finishing the single.leg, we used to knee block from the inside of the standing leg.

2:00. One hand grabs knee, flares up, the other grabs other knee and pulls towards flaring leg. Then run to the side of takedown. Most important. Nice technique.

Hey Shane, what happened to Kwonkicker? I know he was suffering from tinnitus, then came back and started making martial arts videos and doing seminars again (with you), but sometime in July he dropped out. Haven't seen any new videos from him. Is he alright?

What I like about the technique is it’s sorta like the knee pick finish where you are safe from chokes but personally I think this is not good to pull off in higher level mma wrestling simply because a solid wizzer can get you to the feet no matter what. I think with the head on the outside as long as you finish perpendicular in side mount you are completely safe from chokes. But at the end of the day defending chokes comes down to hand fighting always. I like this technique a lot tho in those striker vs striker matches where someone can steal the fight with a takedown like this. This is great to have in someone’s toolbox 🧰
@μαριοςΚαπετανοπουλος
@μαριοςΚαπετανοπουλος 5 жыл бұрын
💯 %, head outside is better for high level but this is still very good for strikers or even maybe grapplers with only guard pulling experience

@jbird3 5 жыл бұрын
James Roush to say useless is VERY false. You still get exercise, you get technical skills, youll still fight waay better than someone who doesnt train at all, i can go on forever. Its not a waste of time to learn a craft.

@ficedulamortis6434 5 жыл бұрын
Joel moralez not really. I spent a long time just doing pad work and bag work, then I went to spar (after about a year) got my shit handed to me by everyone. You don't know how to react when someone's throwing on you when you haven't sparred. Maybe it was just me, but that's how I've seen a lot of people react
