One thing I love about Black culture is how long our mothers or women caregivers take care of our hair. We all have memories of sitting between our mom’s, aunties’, grandmas’ thighs getting out heads knocked around 😂. Just kidding but I think it’s a very sweet part of our culture. Especially since it last so long, until we’re pre-teens or teens. I literally still have my mom do my hair sometimes as an adult (who can’t cornrows lol).
