Bi Mkuru, this was definitely a much needed video for us single mums.. It has really opened my eyes and given me knowledge and really given me information I needed to help me navigate tjis journey.. It's so amazing to see that I am not alone, there are other single mums out there going through what I'm going through and still managing to get up, get going and still be the beat parent to our kida.. We are strong, we are blessed and we got this.. There's so much to learn atill about motherhood, parenthood and doing it alone.. God will always be there for us and walk woth us through this journey, we are super mums for sure.. Even we are falling apart, I know we will still find a way to get things donw.. Thanks y so much Bi Mkuru for having this difficult conversations, your platform is really God sent 💛💛

I am watching this show after i had to explain to my son why his dad is not in our lives anymore hes 8yrs. As a single mom of 2 isnt easy as well, i try so much to try and balance the time i spent with my son and my daughter. I had to explain to him at the age of 5 why his sister's sexual organs dont look like his it wasnt easy talk but i managed. I also makes sure that when school closes he goes to my parent's home where he gets to do and learn other "masculine" work. He has his goats he takes care of. I also makes sure that any time he asks a quiz i answer to my best knowledge possible. About expressing his emotions i let him talk his heart out no matter how small the issue might seem i always listen and if he cries i hugs him and tell him that its ok. I have no idea what tomorrow will bring but am always hopeful. I believe i am a good mom

I allowed my son to go have a talk with his dad who left us when he was in nursery now in form 1 after he said his father is irresponsible and what followed he was suspended from school for sneaking out and bringing back chapati. His father is not into saving the situation he told him to go to his parents place over the weekend instead of where he (father) is. It broke me. I say a big no to co parenting.

It is okay for women to know how to fix things in the house ( saves money and prevents you from getting duped by fundis"-same way we encourage male children to go outside of 'gender roles' and learn cooking etc . I learned how to fix things because of 8-4-4 and also I used to bond with my dad when he was fixing things around the house.
