If Ben Goertzel and friends are connected to this project, you can pretty safely assume that 90% of their work is going into symbolic AI ideas that were proven decades ago to be unable to scale and insufficient to do anything but build crappy chatbots. Sophia is literally no more than a chatbot with a face.

you have no idea.. artificial intelligence gets exponentially smarter by every passing week.. how do you explain the all time world champion in the boardgame ''go'' got defeated by an AI, that wasnt programmed with strategys? the AI learned and improved completely on its own, by trail and error and after just 40 days of self improving by playing against itself it defeated the world champion 4/5 games.. not long after that they builded a upgraded version AI that defeated the previous AI 5/5 games. at this moment AI is still in infancy but its growing fast. when the first cellphone was invented, nobody would ever assume the shit you can do with iphones nowadays. its like a little snowball rolling of a snowy hill, with every second it only will grow and gain speed. AI will be bigger than the internet at some point

@@Crypto4always I do have an idea. I follow machine learning pretty closely. I'm very skeptical that standard neural networks will actually bring us any closer to "real AI", as there's quite a lot of serious flaws with them yet. A great example is that a lot of neural networks actually run into serious scaling limits eventually. This isn't very surprising from a complexity theory perspective if you believe that P != NP; if a problem is in NP (many problems we use AI for are), then you'd expect that there would be some polynomial reduction that makes the problem easier to compute than it would at first appear, but eventually that runs out and all you're left with is an exponential problem. One of the main reasons why researchers are so excited about GPT-3 right now is because they made the network far larger than the point at which most neural networks hit this wall, and yet it still seems to keep scaling bigger and hasn't hit the wall yet. That doesn't mean they've magically solved any real hard problems; it just means that the language-related problems it's been programmed to solve aren't computationally very complex, which isn't surprising because humans solve them all the time and also can be assumed to not be magically solving NP problems in polynomial time. That said, my whole point was that all the fancy neural network stuff that you're so hyped up about has literally nothing to do with what Ben Goertzel is working on. He exclusively works with symbolic AI techniques that the rest of the industry abandoned decades ago because they realized back then it wasn't actually getting them anywhere. It's not very different from if you were getting excited about how someone who's soldering together a couple vacuum tubes in their garage is going to "revolutionize computing" because "look at all the progress the rest of the computing industry is making!" Yes, they are making good progress, but none of it would be possible if they had stuck with using vacuum tubes instead of switching to transistors.

I am not an expert in this field but curious if their framework has limitations thats all

I think its odd that David Hanson the creator of the AI robot citizen Sophia is the first person ever to create a robot citizen- David Hanson's name equals 666 in English/samaritan gematria, he says no to love of mankind twice in an interview. He's working with Ben Goertzel who believes he can build an AGI mind aka artificial general intelligence, Ben talks about molecular nanotechnology that will allow them to reconfigure matter according to there will, brain-computer interfacing/hooking their brains up to computers to expand consciousness, etc . They have created something called singularitynet that uses AI within the marketplace. And David Hanson use to work for Disney, why has a crazy AI scientist teamed up with someone who used to work for Disney, that now has created a robot citizen in Saudi Arabia. Why is David Hanson and Ben Goertzel doing these things???
