Didn't finish yet but i already have some theories, about the humanoid things: the ones in red seem to be part of an hivemind, their queen being the weird tree stuff, they hang on that stuff to receive nutrients and "orders". The blue ones are reds that went without hanging for to long. The ones that don't show at the scanner are different, the absence of points behind them means the scan picked smth but were unable to see it, i wanna say it's some kind of fourth dimension thing, but its probably hallucinations.

Btw i think all the blue ones end up like our trapped crewmate at the beginning. Red ones are screaming for help, they're humans controlled by the queen, they probably still feel.

There was a game like this already. And the lydar dots didnt stick to the entity. But what i thought should happen here and in that game was that points dont appear at all when looking though the entity. Making a black silhouette of where it was. I thought itd be more ominous

I don't know, scanner sombre has the problem of all setup and too little happening but this one is just way too much stuff directly thrown into your face with little to no setup

I think that the game was filled with suspense the whole way through and the occasional jump scare doesn’t erode the experience. The devs probably used more SFX since the whole game is about being in the darkness
