Something is wrong here, 34k subscribers and not even 100 views after an hour? Dave, what's going on here? In any case, I wish you and your family a nice Sunday.

They all want the Corolla videos.. I like the handyman side projects actually even more.

Just keeping the long game in mind. My home repair videos have a slow burn on them, but some of them end up with more views than the Corolla videos with time. 🙂 My most popular videos at the moment are actually home wiring.

The blowtorch inside the wall scares me! I would’ve added some sort of flashing for a shield… or just cut it off. Sharkbite works great for reassembly.
@FamilyFriendlyDIY8 ай бұрын
Glad you pointed that out. I usually do, but in this case I was directing the heat of the torch toward the opening on the other side of the wall… to keep from burning down the house 😁 … admittedly though, I have caught the inside of a wall on fire before. soaked it down with a pump sprayer afterwards.

Thats some old school plumbing technique i never seen before. in our place our pipes are wrapped in plastic or some kind of material and most joints are just held with ptfe tape - no welding and torching
@FamilyFriendlyDIY8 ай бұрын
Interesting. Are the pipes metal though?

Recently a faucet in the sink literally burst when I turned it on. A very thin but far-reaching beam came out where it wasn't supposed to. ^^ I changed it myself, no big deal.

dave if you want to know how to fix the corolla without rebuilding it id suggest a b12 2-3 day soak - take out the spark plugs and pour b12 down each piston, add more every 12 hours or so then vaccum everything out

When I have to cut a hole in the wall to fix a leak, my wife's biggest concern is, not the leak, but that we have a hold in the wall, easily fixed.

Thanks ... inherited that one ... the other is a plain old basin wrench ... I think it's a Huskey.

The rest of the galvanized pipes will eventually clog up. You need to replace them all.

"The reddish-brown slime you may find on fixtures is actually a living organism. It feeds on iron in the water and on iron pipes and fittings. It is known to completely clog pipes and fixtures. There may be times when you notice extremely discolored water caused by an occasional dislodging of bacteria." (source: North Dakota State University Agriculture)
