Actually the case of the EZM 1 is inspired by the early 103 watches built in the 1960s and 1970s and not the other way around.

@@mpeters4731 Generally loose and cheap feeling bezel action, the clasp was terrible with a bad design flaw, and the AR coating was a smudge magnet while not being very effective.

This thing is a piece of garbage. I owned one while I was in the military. It didn't survive abuse not even a little. Sinn must be made for the KISS army not any real military that I know of.

The thought of a mechanical watch being used as a “tool” in today’s day and age is an absolute farce at best. A sub-$100 quartz from Casio will give you all the functionality you need, is 100x more accurate and durable, and is way cheaper than anything mechanical. The thought that a mechanical watch with all its tiny little delicate pieces is something to be beaten up is nothing more than marketing. Ironically both those who want Rolexes and Pateks for the flash and status symbol are no worse than people who want “simple, unpretentious” mechanical pieces “built to purpose” - they are both victims of marketing, albeit in different ways. In fact, maybe the Rolex and Patek aspirants have got it right - relatively expensive mechanical watches are luxury jewelry for men, simple as that. Maybe we would all be better off mentally and financially realizing that and not deluding ourselves into thinking they’re “tools.”
