It’s obvious at a glance what the 103 model series was created for: uncompromising functionality. They are designed to resemble cockpit instruments, in keeping with our company tradition. After all, the first watches we produced were mechanical aviation clocks for professional use. The patented technologies we have developed over the years are now also part of this classic Sinn chronograph.
The 103 St DIAPAL with its polished stainless steel case features a lubricant-free escapement (DIAPAL Technology). We use special combinations of materials that create no friction, even without lubrication, thus ensuring the long-term accuracy of the movement. To perfect the technical design, this model is equipped with Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. The movement is embedded in an environment that is almost completely dry. This reduces aging and prevents the crystal from fogging when exposed to sudden cold, and ensures reliable functionality and accuracy for a longer period of time. If you are looking for a traditional pilot’s chronograph equipped with a second time zone, a captive pilot's bezel and the latest technology, you will appreciate this model.

Very informative vid. Do you think the white sub dials might return one day on the 103 models? Many thanks

Great review! I love most of the Diapal watches... pair that with the hardening technology and you have a watch for the ages!

Hi Barry, I would definitely go for the Diapal model with GMT function. A pilot would find the timezone feature useful even if a typical pilot wouldn't necessarily need the Ar capsule. As for the thickness, the 103 is a working watch designed for the cockpit rather than the boardroom so in that context it doesn't matter. Thanks for another interesting video Barry, Sinn fix satisfied now! Have a good week, LG Bob 🍻

The 103 is a model which is over looked I find Bob, I think its a very classy model and has a real strong sports vibe it. Glad you enjoyed the video matey 👍🏻

Both great watches, but I love chronos not for their specs but for “their vibe”☺️ So, I would go with the old one!

Thanks for this comparison - much appreciated. Any thoughts about the usability of 12 hour GMT without a GMT bezel on the Diapal? I can foresee issues when it comes to AM and PM when you’re in a different time zone which is usually fixed with 24 hours on the GMT hand. The Diapal is a gorgeous watch, and I’m inching towards getting one later this year. Mind you, there is the even more stunning 206 Arktis II (for even more money).
@ClickSpringReview

Hi Sir its true the GMT hand isn't easy to read on the fly, but when it comes to am/pm thats pretty straightforward as once the GMT hour is passed 6 you know its pm, PS the Arktis is 😎

A bonafide Swiss Army knife of watches... or Germany Army! Love the 103, but think I'd go for the variants without the screw pushers (St, Ti Ar or Ti Diapal - probably the Ti Ar). But don't the Diapals use LJP 8000s with a proprietary escapement? The 103 variants use 3 movements which is a bit confusing... I'm guessing Concepto add the column wheel, LJP the GMT hand (and column wheel), Selita for base ETA alternative...
@ClickSpringReview
@ClickSpringReview 9 ай бұрын
Hi James I do mention in the video the Diapal uses the LJP movement, it's also fitted with a column wheel, The Concepto I have in my 144 doesn't have a column wheel its just cam operated

8:23 nice DIAPAL but Le Joux Perret uhnmm plus 17 mm height 😳 , the second hour hand bit confusing should have an different bezel dual time on a crono my opinion Barry bit too busy like Sinn a lot , but since they started selling/hype in Asia the prices got huge increased sorry but for that amount of cash there’s other options… We aren’t Asia /Japan ! Plus even a 104 or a 556 have raised price a lot do understand that all brands did it but not as much as Sinn and the watch it’s same as it was 3 years ago not slimmer etc … not my chrono sorry like the DIAPAL plus the Ar capsule etc cool tech ! Nice review for when a Tudor review? All the best Barry

The 17mm you really don't notice due to the design its the same with the Rolex SD4k everyone loves it but no body goes on about it being a 40mm case size and 15mm thick, because it hides its size with the way its designed. Almost all auto chronos with a bezel and WR are around 14.5/17mm . As for the price every brand has gone up, just look at Seiko as a case in point. The Aplinist has gone up 30% in only the last 3.5 years and thats on a watch which costs under a grand. Unfortunately the cost of living has gone up for all of us including companies plus a dare say their employees want a pay rise an ever year or two Sir. I'd like to review another Tudor but I don't have any

@@ClickSpringReview hi , completely understand your point of view and got to agree with you Mr Barry about cost of living etc you’re absolutely correct, I’ve bough my first Sinn’s if not wrong around 3 years ago and 104 was around 1250€ with bracelet, the 556 on bracelet more newer on H link paid around same price now all up even the 105 wowww that it’s more expensive around 500€ ! But I’ve got it on leather strap then bought the H link bracelet separately more cash involved as well ! I’ve bought a Tudor Pro in in November just raised around 280€ compared with Sinn less increased that’s why I’ve mentioned “Hype for Sinn in Asia “ specifically in Japan ! But they have better salaries than we in Europe! Thx for your kind response Mr Barry By the way if I live in UK would send it to you a Tudor for you to review 😉 Would like to know what your opinion would be ! Have great day and keep up making great reviews always watch them ! I’ve bought an Arkansas stone on Amazon but when I’ve received it was bit surprised because it says to use oil 😳 now not sure what oil it’s best I’ve searched on Amazon only find oils for sharpening knives or tools for punctuation leather etc not sure if they are ok for it plus 500ml it’s lot of oil just for sharpening My Bergeon screw drivers any way should have research better…. As there’s others only need is water… If you have any tips or suggestions would appreciate Mr Barry 💯👍 Obrigado

@@ClickSpringReview upss forget mention the 17 mm height I do have 3 chronos 2 have Valjoux 7750 15 mm the others bit slimmer by 1.5 mm and domed crystal sapphire I’m aware of that plus do like the DIAPAL think the Tech oil free it should be awesome plus didn’t know Sinn is using Le Joux Perret module though was the concept 9005/ or 9004 😊

Arkansas stone you need to use with oil pretty well any oil will do regular 3 in 1 is ok but being the stone is very fine you would only use it for polishing the screw driver tips, I find a diamond stone or card is best or a rougher stone , with these you don't need any oil or water. Do need to do a short video on this subject at some point
