I love everything about this watch. Love how beefy it is. Very cool. Should have taken it out to the bat cave for a proper lume shot😉

I have a few different Sinn models as I lived in Frankfurt and they had factory pricing available to locals.....and their watches are great. I will not sell a Sinn.....I have them all and they are my "go to" watches I wear every day. Nice video.

I have family near Frankfurt and am visiting for my 40th in the summer- how does the discount thing work? as I’d planned to get a U1 or 104 online(grey market) but it would be great to buy one properly as part of my trip.
@johnivanp5 жыл бұрын
Sinn are fantastic watches, I have a Sinn chronograph which I love. That U1 is a really nice watch. BTW 1000m is 3300ft, way deeper than people can dive without a special hard pressurized suit. But hey them watch would work 😊
@OFD4 жыл бұрын
I hear you. We are obsessed with watches are rated to ridiculous depth that they will never see!! I'm getting pretty satisfied and realistic about a 100m watch. This Sinn is built like, well, a German Sub. Incredibly well done. Cheers John 😎👍

How has it held up? Is it the "T" version on bracelet? Hard to find trustworthy info on how well the Tegimented version of the bracelet actually holds up to the regular.
@Mark-P3 жыл бұрын
@@wwolf5670 I don’t have the bracelet, I wear mine on a NATO strap or a rubber strap. There are no scratches on the watch or on the crystal including the bezel. I’ve had the watch from new since Feb 2013.

Great video! Really miss the U1 that I sold 5-6 years ago, had the bracelet and the awesome fitted rubber strap with the big clasp.. It's such a great German diver and about the only thing that could be a bit better is the lume… I was in the market for a Panerai and put about 8 watches up for sale and once I got the funds I was looking for pulled the rest off the market but naturally the U1 was one of the first to go. One of these days I really need to replace it..

hi, hows it holding up now in 2020, are there scratches, does it still keep good time. just wanted to know before i buy them. thanks. also do u know how many mm in thickness the sapphire glass on the sinn u1 is.

RC Tritec AG in Switzerland is making Super-Lumimova whilst the pigments and and the paint was originally invested in Japan in 1993. The inventor has licensed out the formulas and the right to use the name Superluminova, but without a dash. Tritec uses the dash in between Super and Luminova whilst many others use only Superluminova, full stop. There are companies making different kinds of photo reactive paint for watches, but the original paint came from Japan. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have been to Tritec and had the pleasure of a factory tour a few years back.

Frank, i do believe you are spot on. I'm pretty sure RC Tritec supplies most of the lume out there, besides the Japanese watches 😎👍

Dude -- Breitlings and Tudors and Sinns! How far we've come from the Timexes and Gear Best watch reviews. Yes, I'm teasing a little bit.... :) It seems that no matter how principled we are about staying in the affordable realm, there is a compelling curiosity to at least check out what is available above $2000.

The SW-200 is 26 Jewels. The ETA 2824 is 25. I really like this watch. I would like to get this one day. The price is the biggest issue, I think it’s worth it but still a lot. There also are some nice Doxas coming out in November. They alshave equally interest me.
@surfitli5 жыл бұрын
Armando Sturzenegger you really can’t compare the two. The Sinn case and bracelet are German Submarine steel, plus the coated Bezel, 1000m Wr. I actually have a Swiss Made Invicta Pro Diver with the SW-200. It’s nice, but the finishing and over all build are not even close to a U1. If you think the U1 is too expensive that’s OK, many feel expensive watches are not worth it. I personally really like this.
@OFD4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the correction!! This or a Doxa would be a tough choice. I really need to get a Doxa on the channel one day 😎👍

Wow that’s one purposefull looking watch , colour of the steel looks like it came of a tank , think it looks real good except the red on the hour and minute hands ( a bit like a barber pole )ouch. The 1000m water resist would have came in handy today down at my local pool , got a bit worried that my skx might spring a leak at 3m 😀. Keep up the good work , tell your friend his watch is cool

Submarine steel, not shure what that "means... " If you run a watch review channel, how about doing a minimum amount of research. You where a Google search away from giving qualified information about a key feature about this watch.
