For me it has been a lifetime of knowing and healing, still much work to be done. I would love my daughter, Tanya to watch this, begin to find healing and forgiveness, and begin to seek restoration of relationships. I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, anytime soon. It's a choice between bitterness, hatred and revenge. Or forgiveness. restoration, and above all love, to know we are all sinners, desperately in need of a Saviour

This hit home because my mom and myself were in a house with a sociopathic narcissist. I remember watching and hearing my father degrade and fight with my mom including locking her out and making her go hungry and he would not let me help. I ran away by joining the military only to return when my mom got sick and I am now stuck here with Dad after she passed away. My father called DHR and lied about me and took custody of my kids and caused my divorce. He has more money than sense and affiliations with a certain society. Even though I was a navy nurse and my first husband was also in the medical field and was a wonderful husband and father but he was proven until as well. My boys are miserable and all I can do is watch and comfort them in secret like my Mom did me. I forgive my father, pray everyday and I wait for a change. I ask God daily for the blame of my kids sins be put upon me. I try to teach them about the gospel when I can and I stay living on his land in order to be here for my babies yet I'm attacked with negativity and lies about me that makes it hard to get anything done. I only put my faith in God and my savior Jesus Christ.💯🙏

One question if possible: How can a child who is affected by the sins of the parents be saved and rescued ?
@larryjones2901
@larryjones2901 3 жыл бұрын
The NKJ and NASB translations use the term visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children meaning that the consequences of the fathers sin would affect their children not that they would inherit or be responsible for their fathers sin. We are only responsible for our own sins. How does this relate to the original sin of Adam? We are not responsible at birth for Adam's sin, but the consequences of Adam's sin is visited on us and affects us all.

I had a similar childhood to the person that wrote the obituary. I have gained much peace in my life despite coming from an abusive household, and I am an atheist. I don't have a sad life. I don't blame God when things go wrong in my life, because I don't believe in God. There's a difference between the bible being "true", and the bible being "accurate". I can say with all honesty that I believe the bible to be "true", although I don't believe it is an accurate description of an unseen reality. The idea that you can't have a fulfilling life without God is simply false. I don't fill my life with what the bible would consider to be sin. Not that I never "sin", but my "debauchery" follows a very distant second place behind my family. Not even close. I feel Christians sometimes have a caricatured view of what a non-believer's life is like. Likewise, atheist's views on Christians. Not all but some, for everyone. I very much enjoy pastor Allen's sermons. My only reservation is the super natural aspect of the Bible. And, as you may have guessed, I'm not 100% on board with Biblical morality. I have arrived at essentially the same moral conclusions as the Christians reading this. I have forgiven my father long ago. More than anything, I pity him for missing out on a wonderful family. It was a long struggle in finding peace, and it's an ongoing journey. It is no longer a struggle, although I stumble over my past occasionally. It used to annoy me so much when well meaning people would tell me that my father was burning in hell. I don't miss him or love him, but I would not wish ill upon him at all. The abuse stopped. Nothing further is necessary. I'm restored from that hell now.

Sins of the parents has a long history, and not only in th Judaeo-Christian tradition. After the death of a TreasurerGeneral of Athens, when he could no longer defend himself, his children were imprisoned for his crime of theft from the Treasury. In Genesis, a man was accused of disobeying God. Not only he, but his whole family unit were put to death to eradicate his guilt. In Genesis as well, anybody who touched the Arkof the Covenant was killed by te wrath of God. Ezekiel was the first to proclaim that ths was no longer the case, but the idea persisted, as the Gospel story of the man born blind shows. That is an example of my belief that the Bible shows a mautring over time of the idea of guilt, from the man in Genesis until the time of Jesus, when there were only two commandments, love God and love your neighbor, which contain not only the Ten Comandments, but all the religious rituals of Judaism.

I just have to ask as a descendant of slaves. We never received reparations in any form. Even the Children of Israel God allowed them to take the wealth of the land. Many of us are still suffering from never being repaid, and many people are still wealthy from that free labor, etc.

In today’s world there is endless opportunity. Even yesterday’s world. When diamonds are found they are not shiny and ready to be set on jewelry. It has to be created into something greater. Just like you, you have to develop the mind set of making your situation good and wholesome for you. It literally starts with being happy with who you, not a “decedent of slaves”. That’s saddening you were taught to feel that way instead of being taught to push thru and be confident and make life what you want it to be. GOOD. And nothing less

Im so glad to hear you say that! When can you start paying? Is there anybody in the history of humanity -Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin, Ghenis Khan, Edi Amin - with more innocent blood om his hands than a modern day liberal democrat? Someone like yourself. We gasp in horror at the 6 million Jews slaughtered during the Holocaust, until we consider the 63 MILLION babies killed by liberals in abortion millions across this country. That's 10 & a 1/2 Holocausts & counting. If you take all of the black ppl who were killed & enslaved during all the years of slavery in the US & add to that the # of Indians who were likewise killed & disposed & youll find that's barely a fraction of the 63 MILLION killed by ppl like you. So when can you write that check? I need a new Porsche.
