If it takes 40 seconds for it to make one full revolution, why did you say that it takes 20 seconds to make it to the top and you will be back in 20 seconds?

because if it takes 20 seconds to get to the top, and then another 20 seconds to get back down to the bottom, then one full rotation took 40 seconds
