@@blass2325 The trick is to use it when directly standing over what is known as a "decorative object". These could be tiny mushrooms, x marks, or even small gems. I'm pretty sure they are randomly placed.

Future chemist here: Methanol is a substance within the group of alcohols. You could say it's the small brother of Ethanol (the type of alcohol that we consume). Shady people sometimes mix Methanol in the alcohol they're selling to make more profit because it's cheaper. However, Methanol is extremly poisonous. Even small amounts can be enough to cause damage to the liver, kidneys and the central nervous system, permanent blindness or death. There have been many cases of Methanol poisoning where people became blind or died throughout the years. What do we learn from that, folks? Always buy your alcohol from legitimate sources, even if it's a bit expensive. Another small fact: In case of Methanol poisoning, the antidote is actually Ethanol (the drinking alcohol).

Methanol is a real thing. Not a fuel per say, but it is an molecule classified under an alcohol. Methanol is actually why you have to be careful with (or Evan avoid) moonshine. Methanol is a byproduct in the production of moonshine, and if not adequately separated, from the rest of the moonshine, is harmful to consume. Consumption of methanol will lead to blindness and death. There are more effects but I’m not sure what they are. It’s been a while since I’ve taken a chem class. For more info of methanol, please use a search engine as I am human and prone to forgetfulness.
