May I ask out of curiosity, why not take trisagion? I would have thought that it would be a huge upgrade since homing with trisagion causes your shots to linger, multiplying your damage tenfold.

soy milk is a situational item but also a very interesting one. The biggest downside is that it directly lowers your damage stat (rather than just the damage of the tears) which affects certain other items that scale directly off your damage stat, such as maw of the void or infestation 2. As such, taking soy milk in the wrong situations can really hurt your damage output. But soy milk can also be the enabler of really good synergies and generally scales extremely well with everything that adds a "fixed" amount of damage to every tear (e.g. lump of coal).

Like streak goal idea: There are 34 characters in TBOI. The like streak goal being met would kick off a mini series where you start with Isaac and each day play the next character in line, until you’ve played as each character. If you were to lose a run as a character then you have to play that character until you win a run. Ex. You play as Tainted Lost and lose, so you start a new run and try again. This cycle would continue until you win and get to move onto the next character. This would be an awesome challenge since you’d have to get a win with each character and your play style would have to change daily. Moshpit, feel free to critique and/or modify in any way! I came up with this idea on a whim and thought it would be a fun mini-series to watch.

I know you said you don't think mars will ever be great item, however I might have an idea that could change that. Perhaps Mars could be reworked to function similarly to maw of the void. What I mean by this is that you charge it passively whilst firing, and on release you do the Mars dash. Now the addition I would suggest is that you can cancel the charge by hitting the drop/swap button (the one that swaps active items and cards/pills/runes if you are able to hold more than one). This way the item stays in essence the exact same but the player has much more control over if and when they use it. Much of the reason I don't enjoy Mars is purely that it is awkward to use when I want to whilst simultaneously I often accidently use it when I don't want to.

Ember Knights imho is pretty damn great. I enjoy playing ember knights cause it can get pretty difficult very quickly given you have the hades style difficulty meter plus the spells and items are lovely. I highly recommend a playthrough one day.

As far as item changes are concerned I do think glitched crown is too overpowered since it's essentially just options x5 that works everywhere, so I have an idea to "nerf" it. I think (per pedestal) it should give a 50/50 chance for it to either do what it does now (maybe reduced to 3 options), or just turn the item into a glitched item. That way it could have it's downsides in that you don't get your devil/angel item, but still has a chance to work like it does now. Some players like taking glitched items and I think this is a fun, flavorful change.
