An Arab princess (Suzanne Abou Taleb) and her lover (Hatem Fakhr) are executed in 1977 for her rejection of a husband chosen by her parents. A documentary was made about it in the UK which created a diplomatic incident. I believe the song is about the death of this princess. People knew. Arabia is a prison.

I am still left speechless by this song nearly half a century later. If you want truly great women's music the late 70's and early 80's had it: Lene Lovitch, Nina Hagen, Siouxsie Sioux, Kate Bush, kd Lang, Blondie, Chrissie Hynde, Patti Smith and even the original screamer, Yoko Ono, who IMHO had evolved from mere 'screamy' sound scapes to having more good melodic and quirky original songs on 'Double Fantasy' than John did and I still wear Lennon glasses!
