fitted the exchange unit today and spot on no problems thanks to the supplier in replacing it before sending the old unit back to sip shows that some suppliers are good guys

Added one to my TS1 last year and what a total difference to bike performance a fantastic kit, only downside is lack of mounting kit and flywheel holding tool which are both included in the casatronic kit. I have also added a mmw deep flywheel to the kit this year which again needs a different holding tool which is not available for that upgrade, not even from mmw themselves

I’m very impressed with the quality. Be interesting to see if the timing marks on the stator are actually of any use though? 🤓

fitted one recently,good bit of kit,only gripe for £300 you would think they would supply the flywheel locking tool,and the screws to fix the stator boss to the mag flange

Great kit. I have installed it in my J125/3. Starts always at first kick. But… it’s the AC version. Now I want to convert to DC, because of adding a battery for lamps etc I’ve understood that I only need to replace the regulator. There are two versions: DC only and a AC/DC combination regulator. Which one of the two do I have to buy?

I also bought same kit (the static road version). Hopefully will have the frame ready soon so I can test it. I agree with you on the quality. Would you mind sharing what exhaust you plan to use on the TS1 its goin into? I would like to do the same on my TS1. Tks!

and it was fitted correctly in my years of working on cars bikes scooters there has always been luck of the draw with electrics ie alternators coils coil packs stators but it is a good bit of kit just see on monday when i fit the repacement

i fitted that last week lasted 10 minutes had to send it back to supplier who sent me a replacement today i do not know what the fault is it just stopped working he is sending it back to sip but i doubt if will get a honest answer

Let us know if you do find out what caused the problem. Thankfully SIP has great service, returns, exchange, and warranty policies, so an exchange item should sort the issue.
