When I played this I took over the UK as Denmark, and by the time my ruler died I had so much invested in him that everything fell apart shortly after. Like my kingdom was only viable due to his personal bonuses and ties.

The absolute KEY and CORE of the game, the thing that gives the characters and world life and meaning, character traits. 30 minutes into the game still unpaused, and he still havent looked at any of the traits what so ever. Not on himself, or on his new wife. Dick ripped into orbit. Literally the most important core part of the game. xD lovin it, the sips guarantee xD It will be 4 hours in the game before he realizes each character has their own personality and values and traits.

It certainly has a steep learning curve, but once you grasp the basics then it becomes a blast to play! EU4 has more shit to learn so in comparision this is child`s play ~ Gamer with 800+ hours into the game

Conquering Ireland is relatively easy, next you should try to take any counties from independent dukes or counts in Scotland and wales. I also recommend you make sure you have a non-aggression pact with England just in case they invade you. Then once you grow in strength conquer Scotland and become king of Scotland, Ireland and wales, then form an alliance with France or HRE and take any duchies or counties you can from England by pressing your own claims or people from ur dynasty or landed couturiers.

irish was a tough choice for pronunciation. Conchubair is the irish for Conor and is pronounced nothing like it is spelled. "cruh hore" would be the most accurate i could put how its pronounced

Larold I've bought every single expansion to the game and have put in over a thousand hours and can say I have no regrets. The genre of grand strategy which this falls into is a niche genre. The base game is the crusader kings part of the game, everything else is extra content for people who enjoy it. When a dlc launches it does come with a patch that gives out a ton of free content. I see no problem of paradox's dlc system if the content they add is worth the money paid, which all but conclave and monks and mystics have been for ck2

Larold the thing is, paradox prices their dlc fairly well, and their base games are cheap. they also have TONS of sales and they give out free changes in every dlc(not all, but bits) very few of the dlc they give out would I say is mandatory. if any at all
