I'm now 40 years of age & that year was my first season ticket which was when Glenn hoddle first came back & managed the club. Me & my mate sitting up in the shelf couldn't believe we was 3-0 up at half time against utd! Then we got spanked In the second half & after the match it proper kicked off with both fans aswell. I remember a spurs fan running into the away exit where all the utd fans were waiting to come out & he got completely ironed out then all hell broke lose. I'll never forget that day!

My son was at this match, and he will say that it was a match where he wishes he was a neutral but, unfortunately, he is a Tottenham supporter, unlike me, a die hard Manchester United supporter. He did say that Manchester United were outstanding, and the half-time atmosphere was amazing (for the Tottenham supporters!), so glad he was there, despite the final result.

Just my opinion but I never saw Beck play anything other but solid but uninspiring. A one or two trick pony. Not good enough for a regular role in American football. He’d be a specialist. The best place kicker and punter in the game. He’d be able to nail the other team within their own 20, 9 out of ten times. I once got his book out from the library. I’m thinkin,” So what advice does arguably the greatest crosser of the ball in history have to say about technquie in order to generate disrance( those balls R hard as a rock) “ You don’t think you have the distance but you really do”? No I don’t. Then he’s got photos of him actually beating players on the dribble. Yeah. He’s like 12 yrs old. Oh. And there’s ( the video) over training. He’s getting the ball over the mechanical wall from 6 yards and making it nearly every time. Not so much in games. Players jump, mechanical walls don’t. Sorry for the rant.😊
