The forward to the 1st edition was written in 1934 so probably would have gave it that specific wording today. And also you making money off someone else's work especially is a questionable things. Just saying since it's derived from AA as a whole. I liked it don't get me wrong but your kinda putting someone else's business out there.

What an amazing share, amazing insight from Tony Hopkins. I loved this and it was really useful, James. Thank you very much indeed. While I listened, I really enjoyed watching your dog. I'm a vet and if you don't mind me saying, it looks like that hind left leg (if you're standing behind dog - your left) is a little weak/maybe a little bit of arthritis starting in the stifle or hip? They're early and almost invisible changes, but the slow-mo shots allow you to see early soreness? Don't want to intrude, but would like to help - if this helps and doesn't seem rude. Great dog. Great vivacity. Well done you both. N.

Thanks Dr. Nick, I mean it. That was a time in my life that I was concentrating more on myself and my video aspirations than the dog. Abby, my dad’s dog, was probably run ragged.(I took care of her) I’ve gained incredible insight into my selfish ways, years later. I have two wonderful dogs now. Check out my most recent live stream. I love dogs, so thanks for your message.

@@SoberJames I just love his zest for life, for playing games, never tires of fetching the ball, that is what life is like when we get sober, just pure exhubarance, dogs dont need to drink to feel joy, they just are present and glad to be in each moment, what a lesson for us, do you agree? :) we had a doggie some years ago and looked SO much like yours, lived to 17 years.

I don't like the title. Big book says we're recovered when the obsession to drink has been removed and we're no longer restless irritable discontented. Obviously there is no cure. But when our symptoms or in remission we are recovered. Lol I love it when people get offended by the word recovered by the way. My defects of character are still rampant in this area. All right, people. Let's do this! Recovered vs Recovering !! Recovered comes up more than 20 times and must more than 40!!!!!! Recovered vs recovering!

Do you get people's permission to post their stories? Obviously with anyone who's dead you'd ask spouses, kids, etc. Who recorded the stories in the first place? With permission? I'm wondering how all this works given the "anonymity" factor of AA, with Bill W's wish that people be anonymous lest the group lend itself to ego inflation or mythologizing alcoholics. I can see how your posts could be helpful for a lot of people, but I am curious about the process and the ethics.

Awesome job on breaking AA tradition! Looks like I'm the only one here with that sentiment. To me it's really sad that you think you know better than the traditions. Not only do you give his full name (which is why it's under Tony H... to protect his anonymity) but include photos as well. You're missing a very important part of the program. It's so sad that all these favorable comments have no clue either.

SOBRE ESTE VIDEO: MI CRÍTICA DESTRUCTIVA: 1.- No conoces verdaderos alcohólicos, yo si, y una cosa si te digo: LOS COMPAS QUE A LOS 14 AÑOS, YA ERAN ALCOHOLICOS RECONOCIDOS EN LA BARRIADA, AL MENOS EL 80% DE ELLOS MURIERON ANTES DE CUMPLIR LOS 30 AÑOS.
