Bob blames himself for the death of his daughter and described her as 'super bright' but 'frantic'. Peaches, 25, (pictured with Geldof in 2009) was found dead by her husband Tom Cohen after a heroin overdose at their home in Wrotham, Kent, on April 7.Geldof, 63, admitted he knew she was battling drug addiction, adding: ‘You blame yourself. You’re the father who is responsible and clearly failed'.

Dean Wayne I think you’re absolutely right and the stigma of addiction probably makes it harder for folk to get clean properly and with their health being the paramount objective, not just getting off the stuff ASAP. I wonder , did you read that there was no drug paraphernalia whatsoever in her home when she was found ?

@@MsFifi11c I didn't know that about Peaches. Was their an inquest into her death? There's suspicious circumstances surrounding Michael's death too. Bob was fueled by hatred back then. He couldn't accept Paula leaving him. I'm not saying he murdered him, Michael and Bob had exchanged words shortly before Michael died and 'Saint' Bob wielded a lot of power at the time, probably still does.

Ellie Aquitaine as far as I know just the usual inquest when someone is found dead unexpectedly, not a criminal investigation as such , I couldn’t agree with you more about the circumstances surrounding Michaels death

@@MsFifi11c That must have seemed odd at the time if there were no signs of drug use. I've seen other people say Bob was somehow involved but I didn't understand why. They also say he was involved in Paula's death too. We'll never know the truth about Michael. He's still deeply missed and loved in Australia. People come up with all kinds of theories. The strangest thing I recently discovered was that it was Paula who postponed the court hearing, not Bob. I never took to her, it's hard to explain but if she did that she was playing mind games with him.

Sir Bob Geldoff is man who had the congitive ability and enhanced empathy to mobilize millions of people around the world to help thousands of people who were litterally starving to death. Love him or loath him, this is a very special and hugely significant person. The trauma he has gone though in the last 20 years is unimaginable. He lost his wife to another man made worse by the media frenzy that ensued. Then, within 5 years of their fated realationship, both were dead. He took on their child that Paula and Michael had together, again, displaying unique empathy for that that little girl. Then, he looses his beloved daughter. I'm sure we all feel empathy for this man aswell as admiration and respect. Bob Geldoff, in my humble opinion, is a very decent and special human being.

He also sold Paula's 2 homes with all the contents in it, including the photos of Tiger and her dad. (look up the story of tragic Paula's house for sale). Paula, clearly got a lot from the estate of Michael's, even making Collin Diamond - Michael's corrupt financial advisor - Tiger's godfather. She bought 2 homes, paid off millions in legal fees and debt & lived very well ..SOOOOOO what did Bob do wth Michael's estate money that he got by adopting Tiger? Tiger said she didn't get a thing and given, paula's homes were worth over a million each plus savings, that as more than enough to cover her schooling and nanny's.

very sad death.I live in the South Wales Valleys where heroin is rampant and the death toll here is crazy.2015 was a bad year I lost 6 very close friends that year but all together it must be around 40 friends I have lost to drugs or suicide (drugs caused almost every suicide) it's unreal to think back and count all the names, lost my best butty when he was just 17 and I was 18 it was big news back then. Now 20 years later around 40 of the boys have gone and around half where very close friend and the rest were friends or boys I was in school with,it's madness around here, every valley is the same.

I really do like this man a lot. He has been through hell. However always thinks of others first. He’s been heart broken , bereaved twice over now- as he clearly was still smitten with Paula until the day she tragically died. He took on another mans child to be with her siblings. He’s raised awareness and money for the less fortunate and I just think he is a wonderful man.

it was best she live with her sisters. She knew them and saw the all the time b4 her mother's death & clearly looks to have had a happy childhood. Dispite her mother's takng a lot of anti-depressants during her pregnancy - which Doctors now know, is linked to severe depression later in life.

J. Cesar Not at all...no bad vibrations. Our children are not our spiritually. We made this contract before we chose to return . We can all learn from others and their loss and pain. He is strong and gas sm demonstrated his honesty and vulnerability. We can all learn from this. We all have different contracts so to say someone has bad vibrations around them isn't true nor is it helping to judge and be negative. The pain and loss in his life to date can't be measured. Thank goodness for the love of his wife and children he can carry on. Thank you Bob for you're vulnerability and for being open in such a public way. If you ever read this posting. God bless or whatever you believe or not believe in. Healing sent through these words and long may it continue for you and your beautiful family xxxx😇

Didn’t he force Peaches and her sisters to go to school literally the day after Paula died? If true then that’s terrible. They should have been at home looked after by their father. How could they have concentrated at school? No wonder Bob has regrets.

That's the often professional advice sadly, that children must grieve within their usual routine (it feels safer for them) . Often they have stronger support networks at school than at home. Adults at home are in trauma which can be traumatic to see (there can be uncontrollable screaming and wailing from parents which is extremely traumatic for the child) , and adults may be physically and mentally unable to provide care due to grief. They need their friends and schools have resources like counselors and therapists. Children are put under no academic pressure and each teacher knows what happened. However they are likely too ill with shock to go to school for the first few days. That's the advice anyway, for the period of time that the household is in shock. Sadly it doesn't help if a child is friendless or being bullied.

Yes , a friend of mine whose Dad died suddenly when she was a child and was sent straight back to school said that it was the best thing for her and her siblings at the time. I think the structure and security of the routine helped when everything else around them was turned upside down.
